10/10! Ordered the Source Bakery Coffee Cake for a special Christmas morning breakfast and it was so delicious. If you have the opportunity to stop in to the bakery, DO IT! The cafe vibe is cozy and inviting, perfect for catching up with friends or getting work done. Cannot recommend it enough-we obviously love the coffee cake, and everything from the hand pies, savory tarts and cookies are so so so good!!

Went into Source Bakery yesterday, Needed to eat a little something for my blood sugar…ordered a cheese/onion biscuit and a kaboocha to wash it down, I loved the size, shape and appearance of the biscuit… It was also very flavorful and fresh..it had a lovely exterior and soft, moist interior, Very good! I remember being in the inside of the building when it was other restaurants and such …I didn’t realize how much I missed the inside of the building, It’s so cozy, warm and inviting… I love it! The staff was great and very kind . Before leaving I bought the last loaf of Sourdough, A very beautiful looking loaf…and a cup of their Chicken Orzo Soup that they had today And, a vanilla/vanilla cupcake for my 14 year old who said it was the best tasting cupcake that she has had! She also ate half of the Sourdough bread and cup of soup stating that both where so good!! This morning she ate more of the Sourdough bread with butter for breakfast asking me when will I get another loaf! I did get to try some of the bread and it is fantastic ! If you love sourdough this is the bread for you! They have biscuits, cookies, muffins, savory pastry, sandwiches breakfast and lunch and if course coffee and tea…I’m not a coffee drinker but next time I will try some tea! 5 stars!!!

I love Source Bakery! I do not consume coffee but I have heard only great things about it from my friends who do. What I love are their savory pastries/tarts. I have tried their pumpkin and goat cheese tart, mini pizza, spinach and feta triangles, and this dill cream cheese + pickled onion pastry and they were all absolutely scrumptious. They all use a flaky buttery pastry and their toppings are well-thought. I would highly recommend Source to anyone visiting Gloucester and looking for a quick bite.

Stopped by on a Saturday in August around 11:00 a.m. There’s plenty of seating. I had a delicious dill cheddar biscuit, breakfast sandwich, and a cold brew coffee. Their biscuits are amazing. Source Bakery a nice first stop when you get into town.

I love this place! It’s the perfect combination of cafe and hang out space with tables and comfy chairs, bar stools. And the food and staff are amazing. From pastries, muffins, quiche , coffee and teas. But the biscuits are insane! So fluffy and addictive ! Today I had the sweet potato, caramelized onion quiche. Treat yourself! You won’t be disappointed.

Do you enjoy buttery pastry and jam?
Would you like a sky-high cheddar biscuit, moist on the inside with a sweet little crunch on the outside?
Could you use a crumble?
Or a sea-salt-sprinkled chocolate chip cookie?
We tasted love, butter, and fresh local ingredients in every bite of every treat from Source. If you have ever heard of Gloucester, you are close enough to plan a trip just for the baked goods. We did. We bought a box of goodies before hitting the beach, and we left the beach in time to buy more before heading home. Not beach-bound? The table space is cheerful and immaculate. So jealous of the Gloucester locals! I am still dreaming of the hand-pies.

I went into Source for the first time today and was blown away. The design of the shop is cozy and warm with wood tones all over, yet fun and interesting with locally-created products placed about. The staff is incredibly kind and was extremely accommodating to get me the drink I requested, even though it wasn’t on the menu. Every detail of this bakery cultivates an extremely cozy, welcoming environment, from the beautifully crafted pastries, to the host of comfy places to sit, to the aroma of espresso and spices wafting through the air. Even the music is at a perfect volume, loud enough to fill the air yet quiet enough to hear the abundant voices all around. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place. I’m in love.

Source Bakery has been an instant favorite for our household. We love stopping through to get a weekend treat with the kids, and it’s also a great spot to set up for some remote work – don’t leave without one of their biscuits, preferably in breakfast sandwich form! Most recently, we special ordered a delicious vanilla/berry jam cake – absolutely delicious.
