Legendary Eats is a family owned and operated restaurant located in downtown Lexington, Virginia, the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. Specializing in authentic New York Style bagels and a variety of breakfast and lunch sandwiches, we pride ourselves on using only high quality ingredients and creating big, bold flavors. Choose from a wide variety of new takes on traditional creations, including house made mozzarella, a delicious bahn mi, cheesesteaks and many more. Each meal has been inspired by (and often named after) a ‘legendary’ creature of the world and, similar to seeing a living Bigfoot or Balrog, is guaranteed to leave you in awe.

I live in a bagel desert & jumped at the opportunity to sample a specialty bagel at Legendary Eats. I opted for The Smear combination on a jalapeño bagel. It was everything! Generously stuffed with fresh quality ingredients. And the coffee was good too! I look forward to returning to Lexington & revisiting this tasty breakfast.

The food is delicious and well portioned. The service, to me, seemed a little bit on the slow side, but it was lunch time. The decor is fun and well done.
The only real issue I had was that the table/bar was sticky (probably the wrong kind of cleaner was used) and the chars at the wall counter/bar are small and uncomfortable.
I would not say this place is kid/family friendly due to the tables being only 2 seats each and no kids menu. Not that it’s a bad thing but just a heads up for travelers.

Arrived at 10am. One employee working; she took order and prepared food, without washing her hands. Floors were extremely dirty. Food particles and trash underneath our extremely wobbly high-top table. Restaurant in general was very dirty. Music was too loud. Food was ok. Will not return.

Great sandwich place! They had a nice variety of sandwiches to choose from. Nice atmosphere. Seems like a nice place for students and locals to get a bite. If you are into gaming, you will love the names of the menu items. I heard they have great bagels but have not tried them myself yet.

Excellent food, great staff, and fast service. What else can you ask for! I’ve eaten at Legendary Eats a few times now and I’ve been impressed and overly stuffed each time. The portions are massive and the flavors excellent. I love the menu item names and my favorite so far is the Jersey Devil (Italian). Pretty much 1/2 is a meal and I’m a big guy. I can eat the entire thing in one sitting but cursing myself an hour later that I lost out on another great lunch the next day and I’m too stuffed to move. Haven’t had their brekky yet but the Sasquatch is looking mighty fine. Highly recommend if you’re in Lexington and want a great sanger or sub.

Got the Garuda sandwich which was their take on a Vietnamese bahn mi and it was super delicious. Already looking forward to another visit to try other sandwiches.

We saw legendary on TV and when they said they were from New Jersey we decided we needed to check it out because since we moved from Jersey a good sandwich has been hard to find. We were not disappointed! They made us feel at home and even though we drove an hour to get them we will do it again. Next time putting also in for an order of bagels because by 11 am there were none! Now can you open one in Roanoke please. We would be happy to run it for you!
