This is our annual Thanksgiving family vacation and we love trying local spots. Bronco’s burgers, brisket, and burritos was our stop this time. I had the all American smash burger which was delicious. There was a brisket sandwich that was juicy and so tender. BIL had a special call a mac attack that featured burger top with brisket and Mac n cheese! He polished it off so that means it was yummy. The fries are good if you enjoy ones that are less crispy, and I do. The service was quick and friendly. The employee helped my dad pick a good choice too. The atmosphere gives off local vibes with an open kitchen so you can sit at the bar. Yes, there is alcohol but I did not partake. Though the strawberry margaritas looked awesome. If we lived closer than 5hrs I would make another few trips to Bronco’s.

Bronco’s Burgers is exactly what a proper smash burger should be. These things are thin, crispy, messy in the best way, and packed with flavor in every bite. They nail that golden edge-crisp that only a real smash burger delivers. Honestly, the definition of “smash burger” should just be a picture of Bronco’s.
And the sides? They’re just as impressive.
Their thick-cut fries shocked me — I’m usually not a thick-cut fry fan because they tend to come out soft or smushy. Not here. Bronco’s fries are fried to perfection: crispy on the outside, tender inside, and seriously addictive.
Their onion rings are also excellent. Light, crunchy, flavorful, and not soggy or heavy like so many places make them. It’s one of those spots where the burger is fantastic, but somehow the sides keep up.
Plus, the tacos, burritos, and cheese dip are all standouts. The chips that come with the dip are fresh and crunchy, and that combo is dangerous in the best way.
Inside looks small at first glance, but there’s an extra dining room in the back with more seating. Just know it can get busy — I’ve been there when it was chill, and I’ve also been there when it was packed to the point I had to sit outside. Parking in the front is tight, but there’s additional parking in the back (marked by a sign).
The staff is extremely friendly, and even though they only opened earlier this summer, they’ve already become one of my go-to mountain ride stops with the crew. Great food in the perfect location.
My only wish? A Coca-Cola fountain. They do have cans, so I always grab a Coke Zero to complete the meal, but a fountain machine would take things to another level.
Bronco’s is an easy recommendation. If you want a real smash burger — plus great fries and onion rings — this is the spot.

All I can say is WOW! Super delicious burger ( I grabbed the Buck Wild Burger) and was blown away with the different flavors and ingredients combined! Fantastic customer service, busy when we got here (always a great sign of what’s to come) and yet food arrived super fast! Food was so good i asked for a side of brisket as it was so good and tasteful on the burger!
If I get blessed with another opportunity to visit Hiawassee again, this will be my 1st stop. Not to mention the delicious strawberry ‘Rita’s! Thank you, Chef and staff!

Excellent experience! Quick serve restaurant with burgers, burritos, and barbecue. My brisket burrito was amazing! Full of flavor and loaded. The chicken salad sandwich was delicious, but their interpretation is more of a diced grilled chicken sandwich, than a thick mayo based chicken salad. Side item we ordered was chips and salsa. Chips are thicker than a regular tortilla chip,(I prefer thin ones) but they were tasty. Place was busy and food delivered fast. Friendly staff, order and they bring it to your table.
Canned/bottled/prepackaged beverages only.
The overall aesthetic is like a modern industrial kitchen with a retro vibe.
Reminded me of a 5 guys with turquoise paint. Parking lot is small! Highly recommend for some delicious food!

Messiest burger I’ve ever had, and I mean that in a good way. A little on the upper level of what I’d traditionally pay for a burger, but it was good. Only potential negative is the bun could be bigger. Fries were excellent.

Super amazing burgers! Totally have to try the onion rings… Best onion rings I’ve had in this area. Also, pulled pork is a definite must. I will totally be back here!

Decent and typical smash burger. Only complaint is it’s a bit difficult to eat. The party size it large. Nonetheless, solid.

The cowboy Burger was very good but on the small side for $12 plus if you want to add anything that’s basic for a burger like lettuce, tomato, pickles. They charge you $0.50 for each one of those. The fries are really good but for $3 I expected more than like 20 very small size. There is no fountain service or no tea, so there are no refills. Also FYI they are not open on Sunday so if you’re out and about on the weekend or heading through hiawassee this place is closed on Sunday.
