I knew I was giving this truck 5 stars before I ate the food. The owner Bik was such a super friendly guy. The service was really professional and the food was delicious. We had the Momos, Chicken Tikka, Mango Lassi, and a Tikka Burrito. The chicken momos were especially legendary. Next time, definitely grabbing some chai and trying out some of the other options on the menu. Give this a place a try!

The Butter Chicken is my favorite in the south Austin area! I’ve been here many times now and I’m impressed by the quality of the chicken in it. Most of my other local favorites tend to have dry chicken but this chicken has been very juicy every time I’ve gotten it. The Paneer is my favorite though. Both the butter and Tikka paneer leaves a creamy texture in the curry that I absolutely love.
The momos were amazing! I’ve never had anything like them. Warning, the spicy momos are spicy!!

Before you even think about it just try it, you will not be disappointed!!
We were greeted by a charming guy named Bik and because I don’t really know too much about Indian and Nepali food he was kind enough to break down for me what items on the menu were and what he recommends <3.
I ended up getting a Chicken Tikka Masala and my boyfriend got a the Chicken Momos. It’s a LOT of food guys, the portions are incredible. And beyond the portions the flavor…it’s insane food this good is as cheap as it is. Spice level is amazing <3. I almost forgot I got a Mango Lassi SO CREAMY. My favorite drink ever :3.
Me and my boyfriend were really hungry hippos so we don’t have any pictures to show but I PROMISE it’s the best food I’ve had in Austin. I know food truck scene in Austin is big but I’m not exaggerating it really is that good :D!!

Toast and Tikka is nestled in a cozy and cute food truck park right next to Easton Park. The charm of its owner, Bik, is only matched by the deliciousness of their food. We had the Chicken Tikka and the Chicken Momos. BEST DUMPLINGS I’ve ever had. Very different from east Asian dumplings, but if you like dumplings either way, you’ll love these! Get the fried ones for the crunch. They’re not heavy like other fried foods.
With different levels of spice and some unique menu items, this is a must-visit restaurant on wheels that we will certainly keep coming back to.
(We’d have photos if we didn’t inhale the entire meal like we did lol)

I was super excited to find an Indo-nepali food truck in this area. Ordered a paneer tikka masala, momo & paratha. Unfortunately, the paneer was swimming in tubs of oil & salt. (The second photo is the drained oil from the dishes). There were no veggies unlike the description. The taste wasn’t much – only salty.
The parathas are more suitable for a wrap than as a bread for veggies, and again, super greasy.
Please don’t serve hazardous quantities of oil & salt to mask bad food. It’s better to take it off the menu than subject unsuspecting customers to it.
The momos were delicious – this seems to be their forte & they should stick to this. The 1 star is purely for this alone. However, the experience with the other food items raises concerns on the food standards.

We’ve ordered from this food truck multiple times and we almost tried every item on their menu. So far no disappointment, love it. They have very good curries, all well-seasoned, smooth texture and just right spicy level.
I also recommend the momo and chai tea!
Chai tea sold out fast!

Toast & Tikka is such a gem. Their food is delicious and the portions are large enough for 2 meals for me. During the recent ice storm, they offered free delivery and the owner personally delivered my food. I found it very easy to order online and loved the updates for my order. I got the Chicken Tikka Masala (medium spice) and garlic Naan bread. Both were fantastic. I recommend them and am already craving it again.

One day I told someone that this food truck park would be perfect with the addition of Indian food. Then Toast & Tikka appeared!
I’ve only tried the Chicken Tikka, but I’ve also had it 5 times now. It does not disappoint. Hits the spot! The owners are also extremely friendly and care a lot about their business.

We have been going to Toast & Tikka since they opened as we are big fans of Indian food! The flavor and quality of food is the best we’ve had in the Austin area! The customer service is top notch! The portions are of good size and we usually have a second meal from it. We are blessed to have this amazing food close to home! I highly recommend and you will not be disappointed!
