I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. Me and my family ordered most of the plates so far “photos below” and everything was perfectly prepared and beautifully served. The flavors were outstanding, and the portions were so generous. Salmon plate and shrimp skewers are my favs!!!
The atmosphere was great, very comfortable and welcoming, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Honestly, everything about this place was done right. I loved every part of the experience and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

The quality of the food is similar to a steakhouse with quarter of the price. They grill everything fresh as you ordered it. It’s absolutely delicious! We ordered Steak and shrimp plates. The even ask you how would you like your steak cooked. The tender steak and the grilled shrimps we got was the best that I’ve ever had. Nice and clean restaurant with a big heated patio that they could be used for private events. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

A nice place for greek food. I think the rice dish was very nice. The shrimp and beef grill I had was very good and rice was yummy. The appetizer and the kebab were ok. Hummus had a bit too much oil in it. Kebab meat was very nice, but the cheese on top didn’t really go together in my opinion. Friendly service and cozy vibe. A lot of parking spaces.

We had an event for conference attendees on the patio at the restaurant – the food and atmosphere were awesome! Overhead heaters made everyone cozy. Shrimp skewers were my favorite- succulent, flavor fireworks in your mouth! Gyro and chicken were great! The group consensus was that they have the best baklava ever; it was served warm and made a perfect end to a great meal.

I’m so happy The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill opened a location in Irvine! I used to go all the way to Santa Ana, so having them closer now is the best. I loved everything about the new spot especially the outdoor patio seating. I had the gyro sandwich with feta fries, and it was absolutely delicious. I left full and already craving more! Thank you for the amazing food, friendly service, and beautiful new location. Can’t wait to come back!

With the first location opening back in 2011 and new ownership taking over The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill in 2016, their vision is to be the worldwide leader in fast food Mediterranean food by producing consistently delicious Greek food, made with authentic recipes and fresh ingredients. I heard great things about this franchise from a buddy, so it was great to discover they finally opened an Irvine location. At the time of this review, they have only been open for a few months so the establishment is new and clean.
I ordered the Kids Souvlaki Plate for my daughter and she chose the single skewer of Steak and the Rice. This meal also includes a Chopped Salad and a beverage of choice…nice! My choice of menu item was the Gyro Plate described as “Tender Sliced Gyro Meat on Pita Bread Served with a Side Salad, Tzatziki, and Your Choice of Rice Pilaf, French Fries or Feta Fries”. I went with the Rice Pilaf, but my buddy ordered the Feta Fries and they looked fabulous! Everything tasted fresh so I consumed everything and had no leftovers. The staff was friendly and even checked in on us during our meal. If you’re looking for a fast food Mediterranean option, def consider giving The Great Greek a try!

What a great addition to the neighborhood. We have been waiting for them to open and so worth the wait. We ordered Steak and shrimp mix plate with rice and a glass of red wine. The steak is perfectly cooked on medium, right how I requested, the shrimp is grilled and juicy and the salad is very fresh. I felt I am at a steak house restaurant with probably 1/3 the price, especially with the exceptional customer service. They service the table and checking on us. The restaurant is clean with a nice heated patio to enjoy a glass of wine and you hear Greek music in the background. This is our new to go to Greek spot.
