The pizza was really good. The service is not so good. The staff rushes you to order, then makes you wait. Parking was fine. The bar area was a throw back to the 80’s.

Took the family to Leona’s for dinner, son was in town for a visit. Haven’t been to a Leona’s in many years, always liked the place. Been wanting to try this location out and finally did. Six of us, no one complained about the food, all thought it was actually very good. It’s an old pizza place I think and looks like one. Suggestion I would have would to try to make it appear to be more of a family restaurant and less a sports bar. Table and chairs could be more comfortable. We will be going back, it could become a regular place to go. I recommend it.

This is a nice spot. And the food has been good so far. I recommend the chicken Romano. Or the lasagna. Both were very good. The have great drink and food specials. The only cons would be the soup was only served Luke warm not hot and the dining area is extremely bright. Dimmed lights would create more ambiance.

Pro tip:. Go on Wednesday for the five dollar spaghetti and meatballs. It’s enough to satisfy, very good and a great deal.

Decided to give Leona’s in Elk Grove Village a try since we knew the name and it is very close to home. I was delighted to discover that they offer daord free vegan cheese as a topping on their pizzas! Vegan pizza? Five minutes from home? Yes please! The pizza was delicious and I was happy to have it again as leftovers the next day.
We went on a Friday karaoke night. My friend and boyfriend participated and had a great time. The crowd here is fun and friendly, the staff was very helpful and welcoming.
Leona’s is a great casual hangout and would be perfect for a date night, family dinner or a night out with friends.
My only complaint was the drink I had. I ordered a margarita on the rocks and it was essentially just lemonade. For eight dollars, it was not worth it. The prices are a bit steep for a casual pizza joint, but for a fun night once in a while, it’s worth it.
Great food, friendly people, fun atmosphere, definitely recommend Leona’s!

My girlfriend and I had been looking for a restaurant for over 3 years that we can call “home”. We stumbled upon Leona’s in Elk Grove Village about a year ago. From the owner to all of the staff there, they go out of their way to make everyone who walks in their door feel like family and ensure you have a great experience. Everything on their menu is sinfully delicious and we have never been disappointed. They will even take special requests…as long as they have the ingredients on hand. The food and alcohol prices are very fair and don’t seem to be marked up as high as other restaurants in the area. If your looking for a great family environment, I highly recommend Leona’s!

When we found out Leona’s was under new ownership we decided to give it a try… And now we’ve tried it now over a dozen times! We’ve consistently enjoyed great service & delicious food!! It’s obvious that Kevin (the new owner) really cares about his customers!

Just over a month ago we celebrated my daughter’s birthday and we catered for ~65 people from Leona’s in Elk Grove. Our food arrived HOT, PROMPTLY on-time (at 11am & they open at 11am), and tasted absolutely DELICIOUS!!! Everyone knows it’s the food that can make a party great… and it certainly did!

Visited the place for the 3rd time this past Saturday. Waitress Michelle was definitely overwhelmed at the time of seating us. A lot of management seemed to be standing around instead of chipping in to help. Food is nothing to get excited about; mediocre at best. This time I ordered a Psychedelic salad ($9.99) but received a house salad instead. Of course was charged for the higher one. As a house salad for $7.99 it was over priced and uneventful. Italian Sausage Sandwich was NOT worth it either. Small sausage on large bread with little sauce. If they intend to stay open they better figure out all of their problems; food and management are horrible based on my 3 visits. Michelle the waitress was friendly and trying to do her best. Why do I go back? Mom lives in town and I keep longing for the Old Jakes Pizza.

It was a beautiful morning and I felt like some pizza. 18-20 bucks for lunch for deep dish pizza seemed like a lot. But I needed to give them a shot. I placed an order online for takeout. Order was placed at 11.09. I was told that the pizza would be ready by 11.40-.50. I was there at 11.40 But it was about 12.10-.15 before I walked out with the pizza. I burnt through most of my lunch waiting for the pizza. Ironically I was the only person in the restaurant. The person in the front kept saying – few minutes more. But looked like the kitchen did not get the memo. The ambiance looked comfortable and I guess dine in with a beer would have been a better option and less painful. The deep dish pizza was just about ok. Nothing special to write home about.

Since Leona’s has been under new ownership, we have visited several times for differing occasions including dinner, group gathering, bar/night out gathering, and a paint/sip event. Each and every time, the food has been stellar (the calamari and Chicago Beef Eggrolls are the bomb, and the pizza is so good) and the service has been incredible.

What I especially appreciate is that they take dietary restrictions very seriously. My friend is vegan, and they answered all her questions and made recommendations based on what she could eat. Her veggie pizza (no cheese) was fantastic. They use an “air” fryer for their breaded items, making you feel a bit less guilty for eating anything “fried”. I have seen them accommodate others’ restrictions/questions, as well.

Leona’s can be whatever type of night you want it to be… romantic/relaxing by the fireplace, or party time in the bar. The new owner, Kevin, is taking customer service and food satisfaction very seriously. Now when I have friends in from out-of-town, I always recommend Leona’s, especially given their close proximity to the airport and highways.
