I ordered smoothies this morning at our usual Seminole location. When I started to drink the smoothie I hurt my teeth on black hard plastic shards that were present throughout the smoothie. I didn’t take more than a sip because – plastic. I fished out some of the shards and put them on the top of the lid in case the employees wanted to see what the issue was and report the issue to the store manager for their awareness. The other smoothies were fine. My husband called the store to see if we could get a replacement, as clearly something had gotten in the drink and had been blended. The girl who answer the phone was so incredibly rude. She told us it was the almonds. My husband told her no, they’re black, hard, and sharp. She said “well I don’t know what to tell you.” After another minute or so of not getting anywhere I went to the store to show the employees that it wasn’t almonds and to see if I could get a replacement. One of the employees (the more pleasant one) dumped the smoothie in the sink and said “its almonds.” I tried to reiterate that I have had this smoothie in the past, and I’ve eaten almonds before. These were not almonds, they were hard, dark black, and I could not chew through them. The girl who made (and eventually remade) my smoothie was polite, but it was the other female employee who was incredibly condescending to me. In a very snide tone she told the other employee “she needs to try the new smoothie before she leaves.” The new smoothie was fine. This is the first time in my life I have brought/sent something back to a restaurant or store. All I wanted was a new smoothie. I get that sometimes things happen. What I didn’t expect or want was an extended argument about black plastic really being almonds. Because of the rudeness I experienced I asked for the store manager’s contact information, but the rude girl said she would not give me that information. I will never return to this location.

They do good smoothies most of the time, sometimes it’s hit or miss. My main complaint is finding a tiny piece of plastic in my smoothie, I almost swallowed it.

Their açaí does not taste very good and their service is the worst. A nice girl was serving us, but when I asked to add powder milk as a topping of my açaí bowl a guy took over and was really rude, almost yelling at us saying that they did not do that way there and they didn’t know how to do it, even though I would pay for it. Do not recommend it and will never come back.

It’s been awhile since I’ve had a conversation with a narcissist but the cashier with the glasses broke that streak. I had several questions and she wouldn’t allow me to fully ask before she blurted out the answer – well- the answer to some other questions but not mine. So the convo took double time as I had to get interrupted to hear her response and then finish my actual question and hear the right answer. Weird. She’s in the wrong industry for sure- listening to humans is not her strength. Great smoothie though
