Deep South BBQ is now my favorite BBQ stop.. Got the Rib & Sausage dinner with 2 sides and drink ($13)… Ribs without the sauce was perfect.. Baked Beans were good and so was the sausage… Definately will be back

I had the regular rib plate. The ribs where tender and very good. They can keep the spaghetti n cheese or find a better recipe. Yams were good as well as the bread pudding. Overall I would eat here again.

Fabulous BBQ! It is offered plate lunch style, no waiting. The ribs and chicken were moist, tender and delicious. The down home sides are awesome. I always get my orders to go, the restaurant seating is very small.

I used to work here as a cook a long time ago, the food was great then and i am sure it is now. Veronica owns this resturant and she comes in every morning to assist with the cooking before she herself, heads to work. The bread pudding and everything is great. If you visit Baton Rouge, LA. Make it a point to stop in and try your favorite BBQ meal, you won’t be disappointed.

LUNCH REVIEW: Ordered the chicken plate w/2 sides.The chicken is so moist (breast and wing) and perfectly balanced with smoke!! I requested my bbq sauce on the side, i prefer to try the meat by itself. OMG, the cheese spaghetti is the bomb!! The greens weren’t seasoned with meat, just plain. 1st time trying this place, definitely going back to try the ribs and other sides.
