We were rolling east coming back from Joshua Tree National Park and were starving. I found this taco truck open until 10 PM!

The gentleman greeted us and everyone was so nice and welcoming.

I decided to try some new things & old things.

The Torta! Wow, amazing. I loved the Telera bread, with the Asada & Al Pastor, lettuce, cilantro, jalapeño, onion, cheese, guacamole, sour cream, and green sauce. Everything was delicious, fresh, and the flavor was amazing. I would recommend.

Horchata! I don’t remember what is all in this but it’s so freaking delicious! Cinnamon Toast Crunch Milk flavor that just hits differently. It’s sweet , but so tasty.

I never got to the burrito & took it home. The Torta was so big I could only eat half.

My beautiful wife loved the queso tacos with Asada and was very happy. She also got the watermelon Fresca and I tried it. Like a piece of watermelon in a cup. Phenomenal flavor.

I literally stumbled onto this gem and would definitely go back if in the area. Love the setup with the dining room. Such a nice break from the road.

It was noisy for a bit when what sounded like an airplane took off. That surprised me.

The service was very good.

Overall had a solid experience! The Cali B burrito was huge—loaded with flavorful carne asada and crispy fries. Definitely worth ordering if you’re hungry. The Sonoran hot dog was just okay—there was a bit too much tomato, but I will say the bread was really good. Soft, fresh, and held everything together nicely. Would go back for that burrito!

This is my second time here and I was so disappointed! The meat tasted old and it gave off a really gross smell and taste. Asked for flour tortillas and they gave us corn. I also asked for no onion and it felt like they put extra. Unfortunately, money and food wasted.

Burrito review:

Mediocre taste.
Small portion.
Alot of beans and rice.
Small amount of protein.

I love supporting local stores but if the chains like Chipotle is better than your offering, it’s hard to give a 5 star.

I really needed some great food, and lately I’ve been having a hard time finding food that was authentic. When I say authentic, I’m not just talking about Mexican food, I’m talking about any food that is authentic to it’s roots, and represents a love for somewhere that may be a thousand miles away, but for a brief moment, you’re transported to a fond memory of a Mexico vacation you took fifteen years ago. JalisTaco Taqueria did all that for me, and I can’t recommend it enough. They truly love what they do, and want to serve you a great meal. The place is laid back and fun in all the right ways. Good music, friendly helpful staff, and really fast service. This is the real deal, and you need to eat here.

I’m giving JalisTaco 4 stars in the hopes that they continue to improve on their already good tasting food.

I’m giving their carne aside fries 3 stars. The fries were so crunchy that it tasted like I was eating Ruffles or Lays potato chips. I like when fries are crispy because the toppings usually cause the fries to get soggy; but these are beyond crispy, almost burnt.

The cheese was also cold, and the flavor was lacking. The whole dish was very dry and relatively disappointing considering it was $15. I will say that the portion size was good enough to overlook some failings. If they didn’t over cook the fries so much, and maybe provided some consumme to offset the dryness, I would give them 4 stars.

I’m giving the queso birria tacos 4 stars despite the $15 price because the flavor profile was pretty authentic. The consumme wasn’t overly seasoned or greasy either.

All in all, I can see myself going back for more. They also have a pretty well groomed menu, so you’re not overwhelmed by all of the choices like some other Mexican style restaurants. With it being immediately off the I-10 freeway, it’s comparable to a fast food restaurant, and would be a great late night stop off point during road trips.

Very darn good food, and very nice people. We went back the very next day to get more.
We tried tacos, burritos, torta, almost every item and meat. Everything is delicious. Salsas are tasty too. In particular, the chicken quesadilla is

After reading many reviews about this place being too expensive for what it was, I decided to check it out. The place has a great feel to it. I love the concept. Unfortunately nothing stood out. The tortillas they use are just meh, the sauces (red and green) where just ok. The “asada” is not asada, it’s just pan grilled, weirdly seasoned meat. I did also try a quesabirria, and that one was good. Not WOW, but good. I would have that again and I would go back to try something else on the menu just because of the atmosphere. Its welcoming, clean, had enough shade during the hot lunch hours and the staff is friendly. I travel for a living and man is it hard for people to get Carne Asada right . They have a porta potty and a hand washing station as well as ample parking.

I’d like to start out by saying I’m not a snowbird, But I do come for about a week every year and I’m always on the hunt for good tacos. When I found this place on Yelp it had a 4.8 review through them, personally I feel like they deserve a 5.

Service was fantastic and very quick, the Jamaica was absolutely delicious as were the Al pastor tacos.

The, “interior” – freaking way above and beyond for their customers. One of the few places I can say is actually very welcoming too. (Not that I mind stuff that’s a little rough around the edges, but it’s a nice change of pace)

We love this family owned business. The food, the vibe, the cleanliness. We have found our spot to come and enjoy delicious food. For people complaining about the price, to them I say cook at home then, or go to McDonalds for some cheap food.
