The quality of the food is great.Love the custard buns actually any of the buns. The pricing and portions are both very good. The place looks not so okay but that doesn’t matter since I eat at home, what matters is the taste and it’s great. The guy comes off as rude but he isn’t, had a few small chats with him after the 1st time i met him, either way my food has always been good. (P.S had bites off my plate before deciding to take a picture its the shrimp walnut combo with rice and chow mein.)

I ate here last night, and the ambience of the restaurant was shocking and vile. The chicken was undercooked and the honey walnut shrimp was terrible. 60 dollars down the drain, I suggest you just go to Panda Express. I expected to sit down, be served, and eat there, but I was surprised to see my food bagged up, ready to be taken out of the horrible building

I first discovered Windy’s on DoorDash about a year ago and I’ve been going to it ever since. It’s hard to find good buns and dumplings in Chico and Windy’s had quickly become my favorite. Every time I stop by Windy’s I get my two favorites, the pork BBQ buns and the red bean paste buns. Every time I’ve had them they’ve been steaming hot and fresh and exactly what I was hoping for. The BBQ ones are sweet and tangy and the red bean ones are sweet and pillowy. These are a staple snack or in my case addition to my meal that I will continue to order! Gentleman inside helps me out every time and even throws in a fortune cookie. I’ve become a regular. I see this used to be a bustling spot with its former restaurant awards on the wall, I hope to see it return to all its former glory!

I got general chicken from “house of dumplings” on nord(which is also “windys” Chinese food) this piece of wire was in my chicken! I showed the cook and he blamed the manufacturer where he gets the chicken, even after explaining to me that, after they open the bag, they supposedly clean the chicken…then says I couldn’t even get 15$ credit towards another meal because I ordered thru door dash,(door dash did credit me though) after showing them this picture…could of been worse if I swallowed it!! When I went in, no one was inside. Lights not on. Run down a bit. I had called in an order so went in for a pick up. The guy was the cook im guessing? He never said a single word during the whole time. He looked at me, I said my name for the order. He went into the kitchen, handed the food and went back in. Like i said no one else inside the store so not like he was rushing orders.
Food itself, salt and pepper pork is my favorite food so tried that here. 5/10. Avg. Wasnt spicy, pork was sweet and sour kinda fried things.

The owner of the restaurant when I walked in for the first time said it’s the Best Chinese food I will ever taste. So I went ahead and ordered And he wasn’t lying lol Best Chinese food ever. It’s always fresh I would recommend anyone to try this place. I wouldn’t get the shrimp unless you like a really strong Fishy taste

The smell is rancid, rotten, and unsanitary! The moment we stepped in and saw all the clutter and stacked electronics, and filth, I had to walk out to make sure we were at a place for food. 2 guys in there waiting for take out told us to hold our breath due to the stench. Our food wasn’t ready, 25 min after the max time given to be ready, with zero explanation. I was ready to leave it, due to the absolutely vile smelling restaurant. We drove to eat in the mountains, but smelled the food, which smelled like the filth of the restaurant, and tossed everything into a stream off 32
