Not sure what happened to Brooklyn Pie Co at Lala’s. I used to come here for legit NY-style pizza. What I got today was a floppy, underbaked, flaccid pie that could’ve used Viagra to hold its shape.

I politely asked if they could crisp it up, since NY pizza should never be this soft. Instead of fixing it, the staff yelled at me.

If you’re going to call it Brooklyn Pie, deliver a Brooklyn-quality slice. This was more cafeteria pizza than anything else. Won’t be back until they remember how to finish a pizza and treat customers with some respect.

Doesn’t get much better than this! This place is the real deal if you like NY style pizza and the portion size is a great bang for your buck.

Living in the neighborhood next to LaLa’s, I was excited to see there would be a pizza spot conveniently located close by. I have eaten here 4 times since they’ve opened, each time trying something different, hoping to find something good. I will never go back. Everything tastes pre-packaged and pre-frozen. The pizza, at best, could be compared to the taste and texture of frozen pizza. The subs /sandwiches have low quality ingredients. Pretty sure the cold cuts are Oscar Meyers. The chicken strips are a greasy, soggy mess. And the caesar salad? Might as well get a bagged caesar from HEB. It would taste better. It’s pretty clear whoever is running this place has zero passion about food and is hoping the convenience of the location will drive sales.

I’m only hoping this review will motivate the owner to do better. I could have been a regular if anything there was any good. Alas, nothing is. The owners should take a trip to Pedroso’s at the original LaLa’s up north and take notes. They know how to run a pizza joint.

Been here several times. Pizza is good. Slices are huge and the way to go. Calzone pretty good but hopes were higher. Italian sub (which came recommended over the meatball sub) is pretty weird. Not like any Italian I’ve had and based on looks alone would be rated pretty low but it actually tasted great. Still pretty overpriced tho. What I’m unhappy about is the chip. “Kettle Chips” for $3.50. I mistakenly believed these would be homemade chips but instead it was a $0.50 bag of cracked black pepper chips. Total rip-off and at least serve something good like salt and vinegar. Based off chips and sub would be a 1-2 star rating. Calzone 3. Pizza 4. Averaged out for me to 3.5 if I could do half stars. At the end of the day it’s pretty great for bar food but don’t get suckered by the 300% markup on the chips.
