Fito is a gem in the Inwood/Dyckman area—perfect for a great date night, a casual meetup, or a full dinner.

The service really stood out: attentive waiters who made the whole experience feel smooth and welcoming.

And the food? The steak cauliflower was so good—honestly the kind of dishes you come back for.

Easy five stars from me. Check it out, cause I know I’m coming back.

The food was good but the rest of the experience was so bad it really made it hard to enjoy.

We were seated pretty fast, the restaurant was about half empty. It took about 25mins until the waiter came to take our order, I ordered a drink and a few appetizers.

The restaurant is really cramped, I would recommend sitting outside because those are the only human sized tables. The inner tables have around 2″ of space for your legs and stools on the other side.

My cocktail was pretty watered down, although I enjoyed it.

That all was whatever, the wait time for our food was about 70-80 minutes to get our appetizers. The appetizer we ordered was a salad.

It seems like this was a common experience for everyone. People who came in before us only seemed to just be getting their food.

It took another 20-30m for our mains to come out.

The wait time wouldn’t be horrible but the seating was so uncomfortable it was actually physically painful.

The salad was delicious, the goat cheese and tangerine made it a great dish.

The “pizzette” was alright. Lukewarm (it was sitting a while?), although I was so hungry after 70mins of waiting I wolfed it down.

My steak was (pictured below) way overdone. I ordered medium rare but got a completely black steak. It was alright– it wasn’t super tough but the Chimichurri sauce was super watery and gave the steak a soggy one-dimensional taste.

Overall, I would recommend this place as a bar to grab a drink with a friend. I absolutely would not recommend this place if you’re hungry or want to eat a full meal.

Great little place, very cozy and friendly; good selection of wine; awesome cocktails menu, especially classics on Saturday, 5 to 8; all the items from the menu we’ve tried (tuna tartar, burrata, yapingacho, Fito’s salad; Macho pizzette; seviche) were delicious

The ambience here was great, definitely a nice spot for an intimate date night or if you just want to have a quiet dinner with a friend. The service was nice, they were attentive and really gracious. The menu is small but the food was good. The only down fall was that since we were sitting outside, you unfortunately just have to be careful with pest. By the end of our dinner, there was a roach crawling around in their outside diner.

Excellent service. Cozy and dynamic atmosphere. The menu is well thought out and the food is executed to perfection every time I go. A great place to go on a date or eat with a small group of friends. The drinks are amazing. Really brings new life to this part of the neighborhood.

Wanted to check some of the ethnic cuisine the area has been boasted about. No disappointment here. Very chic place, small & quaint but very welcoming. Grabbed a small table near window to people watch on Broadway and took the waiter’s recommendations. Dry January for me so I didn’t try the wine which apparently they have a great selection of. The food, however, was amazing. I tried the ceviche which was outstanding and then the empanadas which did not disappoint. Great service. A little pricey imo but it is NYC. Overall wonderful experience.

Absolutely thankful this spot opened up. This is my favorite place in the neighborhood.

The food is delicious. I’m a huge fan of the shrimp ceviche and the yapingacho. Those are my go to. I also love the cheese and burrata plates and the macho happy hour pizzette. The couscous salad is so refreshing that my husband tries to replicate this at home. I don’t eat meat, but friends say wonderful things about the chicharrón. And the desserts are divine. The tres leche is my favorite.

The drinks are superb. I was hesitant to try these cocktails since I really love tequila and whiskey and don’t really try cocktails without them. But Felix’s creativity proved my bias very wrong. Each drink I’ve tried is so well balanced. And the wine list is great. I enjoy that there is always something new to try.

My favorite part of this place is the atmosphere. The owner has truly cultivated a welcoming environment. The staffing is top notch.

This is my favorite place in the entire neighborhood! The service is wonderful, it’s small and intimate, feels like a real gem. It’s got a relaxed non-pretentious atmosphere. I come here on a whim OFTEN. Their signature drink Canelazo is the BEST cocktail i think i’ve ever tasted from anywhere, I crave it frequently, there’s just nothing like it. It’s unique and sexy, ugh, this place is a HIT HIT HIT.

I like Fito, I’ve been there many times, really good cocktails and chill atmosphere, my kind of bar vibe. And it’s one of those family-run small businesses in the community one likes to support. However, their billing is often inconsistent and that is shady in my book. On one single glass of wine at the bar, they added an automatic 20% tip (per menu this should only apply for parties of 5+). Then they bring a signature slip with a blank ‘tip’ line with no mention that a 20% was already added to the bill, and conveniently don’t bring back the itemized bill at the signature stage; had to ask for it. What’s the most annoying is when you question the bill, the staff plays dumb or annoyed despite this being a clear pattern at this point. And the nerve to try to pull this on a single item bill. It’s disappointing because the service is otherwise good, but getting different charges depending on the server or night is plain deceiving. I should be able to enjoy my drink without having to worry I might be getting ripped off whenever I walk in the place.
