We have a new favorite place to eat! Great vibes right when you walk in (like meeting up with family), incredible food all of which is made from scratch with a strong southern flair and a brewery with a nice bar that offers a wide variety of drinks. We met the owner, Laura, on our way out who was absolutely delightful! We will definitely be back and have already shared this find with many of our friends.

Bender’s is our favorite food at any brewery in greater Cincinnati. Even as a stand-along restaurant it would be one of our favorites.
The smashburger is outstanding. Get the smoked slaw even if it’s not listed on the menu. Very tasty. Friendly folks working there. Never disappointed with what we get from them.

We wanted to try something new and different, so glad we did. I ordered the shrimp and grits, which were cheesy and infused with smoky deliciousness. My son had the kids smashburger, very good burger especially for a kids meal. My husband had the wings with Alabama sauce. The wings were good, but I’d recommend getting the sauce on the side since it is a different take on wing sauce. The venue is also very special, situated right in the brewhouse. The bar vibe was very neighborhood pub, loved the atmosphere.

Excellent quality food, minimal interaction with the staff, but very limited menu options. My only real complaint is that they need fountain drinks instead of cans and bottles, and they need to at least double the menu size. They’re really good at making the food they offer, it’s just once you eat there 3-4 times, that’s kind of it.

Have lived in Alexandria for over 2 years now and it seems I made a mistake on taking so long to come here. My fiancé and I just wanted to go out for a quick bite and a drink to celebrate my birthday this past Friday. I decided to go with the Po Boy they had on special. The chef must know, he did something awesome with that one. The apple slaw was something I never knew I needed, but it absolutely made the dish. We will be back.

I can only underscore the review proclaims this food here as EPIC! Finding NOLA style food in a brewery (Alexandria Brewing Co) in Alexandria was pure serendipity!
I had shrimp and grits (as good as I’ve had anywhere). My wife had the fried bologna sandwich- also fantastic. Green pea salad is a must!!
We definitely need to come back for the burger and/or the wings!

Bender’s Pub Grub is a hidden gem in Alexandria, KY. You will find some of the best southern comfort food you’ve ever tried! They put other so called southern cuisine restaurants in the greater Cincinnati area to shame. Their chef knows what he’s doing and they aren’t afraid to skimp out on their portion sizes, you are getting the best bang for your buck. They also have incredibly friendly and kind wait staff. Even when I dined in at a busy dinner rush, I still was able to relax with my family and have a beer and watch sports on their massive dinning room projector. I couldn’t recommend this place enough, it needs more recognition around the cincy area. Best wings and burgers you’ll find in the city!

Stopped in today and have to say we were not disappointed!! The food was spectacular! We both had the po boy and I highly recommend! The pea salad is excellent as well!! Staff was super friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back!
