I recently went to Mama Korean Kitchen Tofu House for a little friend date, and it turned out to be such a great night. We hadn’t seen each other in a while, so it was the perfect spot to finally catch up.

The environment was warm and inviting, making it easy to relax and enjoy our time together. The food was really good overall, and everything came out fresh and flavorful. I ordered a spicy soondubu — while it wasn’t as spicy as I personally prefer, it was still really enjoyable and comforting. The flavors were well balanced, and you could tell it was made with care.

Overall, we had a wonderful experience. Good food, cozy atmosphere, and even better company — it made for a memorable night catching up with my friend. I’d definitely come back again for a chill night out!

While I am happy to see more Korean restaurants in the Grand Prairie area, I think I will still travel to Carrollton to get my soondubu fix.

Prices are a little higher here too, and the food was just okay. The tofu soup was lacking flavor, at least for me.

I had the bulgogi combo and the meat was too tender or delicate because it had the crumbly texture of overcooked meat. The galbi and pork ribs are better, but overall the food didn’t live up to the cost.

Maybe it was an off day compared to the other positive reviews, but I don’t know.

I’ve been to the Mama’s kitchen in Frisco and it’s sooo good. I think it’s a little pricey but you do get a lot of food for what it’s worth. Come hungry! They have many dishes to choose from like kbbq dishes and combos too. Check it out if you’re in the area. Place is a little smaller than I thought but still cozy. Great for small or large groups. Most of the ordering is self-serve, and you order up front. Till then let’s eat!

We went twice in one week. That’s how much we like this place! I’m so glad we have a good Korean restaurant in GP so that I don’t have to deal with the congestion in Carrollton when I want tofu soup. Everything we ordered was great and piping hot even an hour later. I prefer the tofu soup over the pork rib soup because the pork rib soup was on the sweet side for my liking.

This place was great! The guy at the front desk was very sweet and accommodating. He was willing to help with the menu if needed. The food was so good! The flavor of the Soft Tofu soup was very nice and not too spicy. Seafood pancake was so big and filling. Love that the banchan is unlimited and loved that the atmosphere felt very cozy!

I saw this place when I was passing and decided to go check it out. The food was absolutely delicious. I don’t know traditional Korean food too well but whatever we had was absolutely delicious. I love all the side dishes and the rice cakes were super good. The service was great and the vibes were chill. It is a bit pricey but for the quality it’s all worth it.

Yum Yum Yum! Tried the Crab Ramen tonight and wow—the broth was rich, spicy, and so good without being too seafood-y. The amount of crab they give you (not just legs, but claws too!) totally blew me away for the price. The side dishes were super tasty, and the staff kept coming around to refill them which was awesome. Such a great spot—I’ll definitely be back!

Ok I thought I’d try this new place and see what tofu was like. Mistake!! Although I’m glad to see the 5 star reviews. It’s just not for me or my tastebuds.

-Service was awesome!
-Packaging was neat and well thought out to prevent spilling.
-Menu only had a couple items with tofu. Interesting considering it’s a Tofu place.
-I ended ordering a tofu seafood soup. I thought tuna was fishy but it has nothing on the over the top fishy taste and smell of the dish.
-I felt something hard as I stirred my soup. It was 1 shrimp with head and shell on it. I don’t wanna eat a shrimp with head. It would hv been nice to hv an option
-$$ the place was costly to me. Combo meals were $30. My soup was $16.18. I would hv been happier with wings and bread from little Caesar’s next door for 9.99

I’ll by saying it’s not for me and I won’t be going back despite the superior service and not so cheap menu. I hope for the owner’s sake that the business does well but I can’t say with 100% certainty that it will. is my vote.

We had the crab soup and bulgogi. The soup is one of the best ones we have ever had and we are picky. It is a no frills place. You place the order at the counter and they bring it to you, that’s it. I wish they had a QR to scan at each table. There is a water dispenser but you need to ask for ice. They bring you 2 little trays with the customary 6-8 “toppings”. The staff patiently explains the dishes they have.
All in all, the food was great and the temperature is hot.

I was excited to try this, BUT beyond the styrofoam cups coming with free water, there is very little authentic about the food. Ordered mandukuk (dumplings soup with rice cake), haemulpadjon (seafood pancake) and harmful sundubu (seafood tofu soup).

The manduku came without any rice cakes, the dumplings came out in dissolved soggy mess which means they were overcooked and lacked flavor). The haemulpadjon should really be called pancake. It had no seafood whatsoever and didn’t have any flavor. The sauce that came with it was some kind of chili soy sauce that had vinegar. Not good. The haemulpadjon was supposed to be spicy. It wasnt really and didnt have much tofu and had exactly 4 pieces of seafood.
