Came for Happy Hour. First time ! Shout out to the DJ for playing the music requested f. Thank you to the bartender/ waitress for her service. Nice small venue. Food was missing FLAVOR . When coming to soul food you should have to use salt and pepper.
Food came out in nice time looks nice but just wasn’t hitting the spot.
Now when the tab came I was in shock and how disrespectful it was with this ridiculous gratuity on one or more I
will never return.
I definitely support only and all small business and black business but when you add that and want me show love to your staff. That’s not right at all.
I purchased in house and ordered a full dinner to go on two separate tickets. I paid 20 bucks alone in there extra fees.
The waitress was verv nice and helpful through out my time .
I suggest more healthy options on the menu. A simple side salads maybe less fried food .

It’s small but it’s intimate. You can go for a meal or the night club scene. Age is 30 and I after hours. The food is very delicious. I think their happy hour is until like 8 or 9pm very late for this area.

It’s a chill spot. No cover charge. They have security. It’s a dim, intimate vibe. Mixed age crowd. Good music- Classic and newer. They have happy hour drinks at a cheap cost. Don’t come super hungry. There are a lot of orders being placed at one time. And maybe 2 servers? So pack your patience. And be prepared to enjoy the DJ and have a drink (or 2) until your food arrives. High top seating, booth type seating and regular height seating. I had a few tequila sunrises with chicken chunks and fries. Portions are small compared to most places. But, I mean, it’s bar food. In the past, I’ve ordered the fish as well. All were pretty decent.

Disappointed. Mac and cheese extremely dry and no taste. Cabbage over cooked and smelled burnt. Pork chop was tender but only had gravy no onions. Yams tasted ok but are canned. Presentation is just as important as taste. Get it together folks because this is not Soul food! ♀️

I absolutely love discovering gems like this place. As a soul food chef myself, I’m always on the hunt for the “real deal,” and this spot did not disappoint. It was my first time trying the food, but I’m already craving more! The cozy, inviting atmosphere and top-notch food made for an incredible experience. Kudos for the quick service as well!
