This was my first time at Toast and I have to say that everything was top notch. The owners came and greeted us and told us about their pies and the inspiration behind their food! The pork belly bowl was great and the ube French toast was definitely a hit with our group. And we couldn’t leave without trying the pies. We got the ube coconut pie and the mango sticky rice pie! We’ll definitely be back and I recommend everyone to go try out Toast!

I’ve gone here a few times and always had a great experience until I went in October and their menu has changed. They seemed to have changed a lot of their core menu items and the quality has definitely been downgraded. The fries used to be perfectly seasoned and crunchy and now they switched to unseasoned crinkle cut fries. It’s still better than your run of the mill breakfast place but it used to be much better!

I have been to the Newport location a number of times and was excited another opened so close. This place has an incredible brunch, and though there is generally a wait, it’s well worth it. Brought my family and every one of them enjoyed it. Food and drink are 10/10 just as the original location. Staff is incredibly helpful and go above and beyond despite how busy it gets. Atmosphere is pleasant, no loud music and didn’t have to yell to speak to each other.

I’ve been to Toast in Costa Mesa a while back and the food was incredible. First time at this location and the food is just ok. I wouldn’t come back as nothing tasted amazing, except the tater tots, those were incredible. The service was good and the server was nice. There are better places to have breakfast in the area and would pick those over Toast unfortunately.

Ordered the breakfast sandwich and it was delicious! The egg was wonderfully soft and fluffy, and perfectly seasoned. The matcha latte was pretty good, not my favorite, but still delicious. Perfect brunch spot!

Attended this afternoon for a lunch meeting. My avocado with grilled chicken Sakad was delicious. The pomegranate with baby kale mix was perfect with a sweet and tangy taste. I recommend Toast Kitchen as the food was delicious and the hostess was polite.. I am looking forward to returning for dinner.

This restaurant is very busy during weekends. Be prepared to wait for 30+ min.

We tried their ube french toast, grilled avocado salad (added grilled chicken) and pork belly rice bowl.
We loved the french toast, the ube pastry cream was rich and we definitely tasted ube! Blueberries made it look pretty and refreshing.
Salad was fresh and I am thankful that they can add grilled chicken to it (grilled chicken was not listed in the addition menu, but they made it work). Their grilled chicken was very tasty – not an average one. Loved it a lot!
Their pork belly rice bowl was OK. Grilled bok choy was crunchy but a bit more ‘grassy’ as compared to other preparation methods.

Beautifully presented food and unique menu. Perfect for meetups – I was impressed with everything here.
The acai bowl even had flower petals!

My Thai Chile Chilaquiles was quite tasty with delicious pork and a good helping overall.

My wife’s soba noodle salad was light and fresh.

The chocolate short stack ended up being huge! It was a bit too plain /sweet for our taste.

This is a pretty nice breakfast and brunch place with good food.

The staff is friendly and professional, and very attentive!

The coffee is excellent.

Try their Ube French toast… it is fantastic! Not too sweet, and very tasty with fresh blueberries and a wonderful ube (sweet potato) spread. Delicious!

I would definitely come back if I’m in the area. I do think there are better places, but I would not turn down an opportunity to come here.

Can’t recommend. With so many other good choices for brunch and breakfast, don’t waste your time and money.

-All of the food comes with a bad or off aftertaste. Perhaps not at first, but after a few bites you know something’s not right. The food tasted as if many of the ingredients were sitting around uncovered overnight. Even the tasted stale… how do you mess that up? Look around an you’ll notice hardly anyone is cleaning their plate except for the busboy.
-The location is not really clean (and this is a relatively new building). The floors are dirty, the walls have dents and holes. The staff have their personal drinks on the counters. Surfaces were dusty.
-Price is premium, the ingredients and quality are not.
