Stopped in for my first time for brunch because I was really excited to have breakfast right near a golf course in a really tranquil setting. It’s attached to a large free parking lot, but it fills up quickly due to the popularity of the public course. The restaurant itself is quite large and they have plenty of indoor seating as well as covered outdoor seating which is where we sat. We had a great view of the practice green as well as one of the holes. Our server was very polite however they were out of power to part of the restaurant so they could not serve any warm drinks so sadly no coffee.

We started off with the Raspberry Cruffin and thought it was honestly fantastic. I would highly suggest ordering it if you see it there. It’s basically a croissant and muffin combined with raspberry sauce in the middle. For my meal, I chose the Eggs Benedicto which was a chorizo Eggs Benedict. I thought it was very good and I really enjoyed the side fruit. I also ordered a Greek Salad and thought it was pretty good although the portions were a little unbalanced. I wish there would’ve been more onion and a little more tomato. I would recommend it though if you like those flavors.

Overall, a really nice breakfast option in Venice and I do plan to give it another try in the near future.

Had the most amazing Engagement Party at The Penmar everything was seamless thanks to Christopher their event coordinator. First off the venue was perfect! I was worried about it being too cold or windy but we were able to have the heaters on and a wall tent down to keep the breeze out, the second we got hott I let Christopher know and we got the fresh air in and it was a beautiful day!

Do not hesitate if you are thinking about this place as a venue, Christopher worked with us to accommodate us on everything we wanted from having an open bar tab capped to having everything set up and even added in some nice table decor!

We had a guest list of about 50 people and we had more than enough room! Thank you to everyone who made this day so special for us!

The Penmar restaurant is an excellent private party venue! Our group – who all grew up in Venice – bought out the patio for our class reunion. It felt special, yet casual enough to make everyone feel welcome. Sunset on the golf course was lovely, with delicious tacos, flowing cocktails, and a s’mores station! We brought in a photo booth and our DJ was also able to stream a video on all the TV screens…which was a big hit with the classmates. The staff was lovely and it made our event that much better knowing we were in great hands. Everyone complimented the location as a “perfect spot.”

This is a review for the Sunset Sessions event only!

Immediately one of my favorite places in LA. I was told I would like it and I did. Cheap entry, good food trucks, and they have corkage in addition to bars.

Music was a little lackluster but I’m sure that varies with each session.

It’s all hot people so make sure you’re looking good and feeling good when you go. Cheers.

First time family dinner on vacation. Staying nearby and the local suggested it for a fast experience and a great place for the kids. The burger was okay, not great and I did expect it to be better. Standard fries, nothing special there. Ate most of my son’s pizza and that was like a frozen pizza from a school lunch. My wife and daughter were happy so this is a solid three star place in our estimation. The draw is that the kids can play on the putting green within sight of the outdoor dining option.

Excellent restaurant at this golf course. I went specifically to eat there and did not golf . The breakfast burrito was delicious and it even came with some chips. I got chorizo but there are a few other choices. Very good size burrito and would absolutely get again

We were pleasantly surprised when The Penmar opened. Other than meeting up with friends I won’t choose to dine here again. Food was decent when they opened not great but decent.

On my last several visits however the food quality has been very poor. Ordered a burger and when I looked at the patties they were the thin frozen style molded patties you get from a basic restaurant supply.

My son’s rice was old like it had been sitting in the warmer for days.

I just cannot in good appetite choose this restaurant when there are so many better options.

Service was slow and it wasn’t busy. I guess the attitude is they get business off the golf course and the events and just adequate works.

First off, this is a lovely setting. I had no idea it was right in the middle of Venice–what a find!

We came for breakfast. Our server was wonderful. So friendly and attentive. I ordered an almond milk latte–surprisingly very good!–and Avocado Toast. The Avocado Toast lacked salt, and I also thought $15 was pretty steep for one piece of toast.

I don’t think I’d return for breakfast, but happy hour is a possibility since the grounds are so lovely.

The food is amazing. Wednesday is pizza night and I highly recommend it! It did not cost anything to get in on nights when there is no music or sunset summer festival. The service was a little slow, but it’s a very laid back atmosphere and all food and beverages we’re eventually brought to the table. It’s dog friendly!

Rad vibes

They just re-started concert nights and it’s pretty sweet.

Eat before you go and you won’t have to pay for overpriced food

Dogs are allowed which is super cool
