Phenomenal food. I got the oxtail, coconut rice, collard greens, pikliz. Seasoned well, pikliz has a nice spice kick.
IMPORTANT!
I got it as take out. It was an hour of driving before I got home. Oxtail take out container was very moist for a lack of a better term. If longer drive handle with caution as it may rip through from the plenty hefty delicious oxtail and gravy.
I didn’t need to reheat to enjoy.

Will be coming back again.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. I found this restaurant randomly on doordash when I wanted to eat something healthy and hearty and since then it became my go to place. I tried their jerk chicken, beef ox tail and beef patties but I would say I particularly love the braised ox tails. It’s my comfort food and I order it once a week and it’s the type of food that just soothes my soul whatever the mood and occasion is. The ox tail is so soft and the meat falls off the bones. The ox tail is braised with butter beans and carrots and it just becomes this amazingly flavorful savory goodness. I also like that they offer plenty of substitutes to white rice and sides as well. The mango salsa has very nice sweet and sour flavor. Overall, this is the place that would warm your heart and tummy.

For my first visit, I ordered the New Kingston jerk melt with a side of the herbed fries. I also ordered the strawberry mango twist smoothie. It was all exquisite!

While I and other customers waited for our food to be prepared, we were given fried plantain chips with (I think) a mild harissa sauce. Also while waiting, I was struck by how they knew the names of every customer walking through the door.

Excellent atmosphere, so much delicious and healthy food to try, and great location. I’ll be sure to return!

I’m actually surprised the food did not taste how it smelled. Portions 10/10, freshness 10/10, flavor 4/10. I ordered a jerk chicken plate with coconut rice and sweet plantain and kale Cesar salad. The Kale Cesar was the absolute best thing on the plate. Unfortunately I was expecting some sort of spice when it came to the jerk chicken but overall what I was given was baked chicken. There didn’t seem to be ANY Jerk seasoning at all. The coconut rice also just taste like white rice with a hint of coconut. Sweet plantain were good as well. I would return for the KALE CESAR for sure. The mini curry chicken empanadas were ok. Smelled like curry more than it tasted like curry.

I thought the jerk chicken, wild rice, & red bean stew were delicious. Obviously not 100% authentic but a healthier version which I love & support. The chicken was well seasoned & tender. The beet salad was good, the carrot slivers threw me off though. I did not care for the romesco sauce on the side but happy this came with so many options to begin with at the price point offered. I’d definitely eat here again & I’m looking forward to trying a beverage or smoothie. Also loved the diversity of the clientele.

This food was so delicious I felt compelled to leave a detailed review. I ordered their catering for a work event: the jerk chicken, chimichurri steak, mac and cheese, beet potato salad, and kale Caesar salad. Everything was incredible!!! It’s honestly hard to pick a favorite item. The proteins were super well seasoned and tender, the mac and cheese was cooked perfectly, and the salads were so flavorful with perfect textures to everything. The craziest part is I took a to-go plate and reheated it—the food was THIS GOOD 8 hours after it got delivered.

My final note of appreciation for this place is on how easy it was to put in my catering order, and how reasonable their delivery fee is. I do a good amount of ordering catering for work and this place really stands out in that sense as well.

I will definitely be ordering from here again!

We went mid week and had an amazing dinner. The team and the owners went above and beyond for us. They were super friendly, fun and anticipated our every need.

The food was outstanding. Jerk chicken might be the best in the city! The rice plates are creative and you get so much food.

The cocktail menu is inventive. The mango margarita was absolutely delicious. The old-fashioned with coconut water ice cube sounds amazing, it’s on my list for next time!

The workers were so nice
Customer service was really good
The jerk chicken wasn’t spicy which is weird to me because every other time I tried Jamaican jerk chicken it was spicy and very flavorful not this one though . Not the most flavorful chicken kind of bland. It was moist though not dry. They gave me 3 pieces of chicken which was more than enough
The coconut rice was filling . Could use a touch more seasoning in it.
The Mac n cheese isn’t your average Mac n cheese. It has only one cheese in it and it looks like they used shells for the Mac . I was expecting to see more diverse cheeses in the Mac but it was good just not enough cheese for me.
The pineapple drink is made fresh and it’s so good
I’ll be back to try more food when I come back to this area maybe the other dishes are better than what I had .

Very nice restaurant, not fancy but pleasantly decorated with Jamaican and nature theme. Also pleasant and lively music, not too loud, comfortable seating inside and outdoor, and clean restrooms.

Great options for healthy and vegetarian food, you can also add chicken to a kale salad etc. Fresh and tasty food, in generous portions. Quick and friendly service, the only downside is that they don’t serve water.

Overall, it’s kind of similar to Sweet Green, but feels even better, has a nice character and atmosphere.

Very good experience, recommended!

I work nearby and just love everything about this place. I always get the herbed salmon on coconut rice with kale squash salad and ginger cole slaw and it is just the best. Excellent maduros too
