This was my first time at Serafina’s and the food was delicious. Started our meal off with a focaccia plate. The bread was nicely baked and came with a flavored butter and honey. For my entrée, I had the Rigatoni Bolognese which was rather flavorful. The portion size was enough for that meal with no left overs. My husband had the Short Rib Agrodolce which he enjoyed. Ended up taking the lemon cheesecake to go and that was also delicious. It was a traditional denser cheesecake and the lemon curd was tart and yummy.

As for the atmosphere and staff… the restaurant was not busy when we went. It has a nice and cozy atmosphere. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and attentive.

I would definitely eat here again.

It was our first time here since the restaurant changed, and we will definitely go back. The service was very attentive, but not intrusive. Very friendly staff who were knowledgeable about the menu. The food was delicious. We had the monkfish, short ribs, and rigatoni. Each of them were plated very nicely, and were delicious. I thought I might miss the booths, but the open atmosphere presented as understated elegance. It’s also quiet enough to have a conversation without having to talk over table neighbors, or music. We really enjoyed it, and will definitely return. Highly recommended. Very nice to have this in downtown Apex.

I go to Serafina every single day, and somehow it still hasn’t gotten old. In fact, I was there for both lunch and dinner the past two days, which probably tells you everything you need to know. A big part of why I keep coming back is the people—Davey behind the bar is outstanding. He’s incredibly friendly, genuinely experienced, and makes the bar feel welcoming the moment you sit down. And Bryan, the general manager, is phenomenal—you can tell he truly runs the place, always making sure everything is dialed in and that you’re having a great experience.

If you want to start strong, the beef tartare is the perfect appetizer—clean, balanced, and exactly how it should be done. For pasta, the cacio e pepe is the sleeper hit and easily one of the best versions I’ve had anywhere. Simple, rich, perfectly executed.

The short rib and steak are both excellent—deep flavor, cooked right, no gimmicks. But if I had to pick a personal favorite, it’s the seared tuna. It’s consistently incredible and the dish I keep coming back for.

Beyond the food, the consistency is what separates Serafina from most places. Same quality, same care, every time. It’s rare to find a restaurant you can rely on this much—and even rarer to want to eat there daily.

If you’re on the fence, stop overthinking it. Just go

I have to say… I’m impressed. From the beginning with Peggy the hostess, to KP as our waitress, to Chef Matt making an appearance… I’m over the moon about this place! Peggy was delightful, attentive, and all around a fantastic hostess. KP brought suggestions and personality to the table. Chef Matt came to our table to say hello and present a dish that was unique…. All around an amazing first time here and we SO look forward to coming back. This place is beyond blessed to have Chef Matt in their kitchen!! We came tonight because my husband and I saw an Instagram post with Chef Matt in it and knew we had to go! Thank you to everyone for such a lovely evening!

Thrilled to welcome Serafina to Downtown Apex! As a local Real Estate Agent with an office right across the street in the Historic Tobacco and Mule Exchange Building, I couldn’t be happier to have another fantastic restaurant to recommend to Clients after a day of house hunting in our beautiful town.

The atmosphere is casually elegant (think dark, moody, and full of character) perfect for a cozy dinner with friends or a relaxed evening at the bar. I’ve dined both inside and out on the patio, and every experience has been excellent!

The service is consistently top-notch (most recently from Lara-she’s fantastic!), and the GM Dillion and his team have truly created something special here. The menu is creative and delicious. My personal favorites are the Short Rib Agnolotti, the Prociutto E Asparagi, the Tuna Crudo and the Eggplant Lasagna. Don’t forget to leave room for the Tiramisu! Can’t wait to try Brunch next!

I love supporting local businesses that bring life and flavor to Downtown Apex, and Serafina has quickly become one of my go-to spots. Welcome to the neighborhood! Nancy Grace/Realtor, Choice Residential

Had an amazing dinner last night with a friend and we loved the atmosphere. The food was great, highly recommend starting with the bread, it was so tasty and melts in your mouth. I got the bolognese and it was amazing and my friend had the tuna and she loved it! Collin S. was an amazing server throughout with great food recommendations and the drinks are delicious!!

Visited this restaurant for lunch with my Aunt and Uncle visiting from Ohio. Our experience was BEYOND top notch. Seriously.

My Aunt and I ordered the Risotto. After waiting for a period of time for our meals to arrive, the GM came over to talk to us. He explained that after his chef made the dish he was unsatisfied with the quality of the Risotto and did not want to serve it to us. So, the GM offered other choices from the lunch menu AND to provide each dish complimentary simply because we’d have to wait longer. Outstanding!

We appreciated the honesty from the chef and the customer service offered by the GM. It made such an impression on all of us, but for me the local, I will forever recommend this restaurant AND they have a customer for life.

THIS is how you run a dining establishment. When you know the food isn’t up to par, you don’t serve it and you offer alternatives at little to no cost to your patrons so they will have such an enjoyable experience they want to come back.

Thank you to all the staff at Seragina, especially the GM, our server Erica, and the Chef. Truly top notch! I look forward to my next visit.

Great experience at Serafina. Food was good with nice blend of flavors. I thought the chicken portion was a bit small with two tenderloin pieces. The wine was delicious and you can buy this brand for more than 50% less at Harris Teeter. The restaurant got crowded and therefore it was a bit loud. I split the bottle ($50) with my friend and we each paid $60 + tip for our meal which was just the entree (no apps or dessert)

First time dining at Serafina, work lunch, service was exceptional, the food delicious. More of a creative take on Italian. The salads, rice balls, and chicken were outstanding with gelato for dessert. Will definitely be back.

One of my best dining experiences in the area. Ambience is classy but not fussy or overly formal. Our server was helpful and well informed, with useful suggestions. The lamb lasagna was a nice twist on an often-tired dish and the short rib agrodulce was tender with just the right amount of pasta and raddicio to balance it out. We were pleasantly surprised that nothing felt heavy the way some Italian food can. We will certainly be back!
