Best little restaurant around! I ordered the smashed bacon burger with fries, and my husband ordered the omelet. We both loved our food. The staff was so friendly and helpful with the menu. We will definitely be back!!

An old friend and I planned to meet here as a halfway point to meet up at before he moves to Hawaii. I drove in from the DC area with my wife and he drove up from Greenville, SC. When we got there the owner told us that he was closing up shop as he was getting ready to start his Thanksgiving break, but decided to let us stay and eat since we’d come in from so far.
The service was fantastic, the food was great, and we got to know the owner (he has a cool story by the way). I’d recommend anyone visit the restaurant and wish it were on the way of our frequent trips down to Charlotte.
I highly recommend this spot!

We stopped in for lunch for the first time in a long time since people had been recommending them and were not disappointed. The food was good, the service was attentive and we got our order in a very reasonable amount of time. The French onion pork chops were excellent. Sorry for the photos being mid meal (I was so hungry I forgot).

Fantastic find! Perfect for a cozy and leisurely breakfast or lunch, with great food and wonderful service. Found it while waiting for an appointment with my daughter, she had a blast and so did I! Worth your time.
She loved her Ultimate Crepes and fresh Lemonade, and my Yonkers Panini was superb.

This small but amazing cafe was well worth the stop! I felt like we were having lunch at a friend’s house. The owners were so welcoming and friendly. They took great care of us. They also had live music playing in the cafe which made for a fun atmosphere. The food was delicious! I highly recommend the Alban Hill sandwich, the Mediterranean salad and Gilous’ salad. We also enjoyed the crepes and the baguettes.

Oh, I wish that I would have gotten her name! Her food was perfection! I asked her to go off menu with my request of French toast with bananas foster, and a side of bacon. She pleasantly agreed.
My husband had the Breakfast croissant with scrambled eggs and sausage. Everything was fresh and tender, as though she pours her heart into every meal she creates! I felt as though we were being taken care of by a sweet Grand-Mere.

What a hidden gem! We’re from out of town and we stopped by here on a whim.
First of all, the folks who own the place were super nice!
Second, the food!!!!! It was perfection.
Crepes? Delicious.
Croissants? Fantastic.
But how are the Monte Cristo’s you ask? To die for! Seriously.
I can never find Monte Cristos anywhere it seems like. So to find one here was a godsend.
We also took home some baked goods (the muffins and the upside down pineapple cake). Went back for more today.
Seriously, give it a try. You won’t regret it!

My mom and I were searching for someplace a little different and boy did we find it! We love Gilous’! We’ve been there twice. First time got burgers with a french touch. Yummy! We liked both choices. Next time mom got another burger and I got the chicken Nicoise ( another winner!) and molten brownie with their delicious coffee. Omgoodness! Can’t wait for the opportunity to go back — I’m gonna try the Savoy!

I came to the restaurant because of the restaurant. I was going to was packed. I wanted to try something different. And I am so glad I did right. The biscuits and gravy, we’re the best I’ve had, and I have been to 43 different states and they were absolutely delicious., i will absolutely be back
