Mac’s Meals is located in the William Hobby Building on the right side. It’s ok food for the low price downtown. If I forgot my lunch I like knowing I have this place has a choice. They provide a clean kitchen and tables to sit. You have the choice to eat there or take it to go.

I have read every review in regards to Mac’s Meals and it makes me wonder if the people that are writing theses reviews are aware of a sanitation issue with one or maybe more of their employees only wearing one glove or no gloves when serving food at this place. I have observed on many occasions, especially during breakfast where the employee only wears one glove when serving food. I actually encountered this issue when I order a bacon & egg taco and the employee grabbed the bacon with her bare hand and I immediately told her that I no longer wanted it and she got mad so walked away totally disgusted. I have been in the food industry before and they always preached that we should always wash our hands and wear gloves when preparing and serving meals. I have also notice this employee eating her meals in plain sight with the one hand gloved and not changing her gloves. I am just very surprised that no one including most state employees not saying anything and I hope that this reviews gets the attention that is needed. I am not sure how long that this has been going on but I noticed this when I started working for a government agency in the same building this business is located. It also makes me thing about the people in the back that we cannot see if they are wearing gloves either. All I can say that if you are not grossed out by people that do not follow sanitation guidelines that serve your food then you have issues. I did report this issue to state health services and will be requesting a copy of the inspection report.

They have pretty decent food considering it is mostly cafeteria style. They have a decent made-to-order menu. Hot wings, Ruben sandwich, and burgers are all good.
