Wow, what a find this place is. The atmosphere and music were perfect. The service was outstanding. The place is very clean and comfortable. We had the burrito verse asada, taco a mano asada, and horchata. It was fabulous. I am making this my new go-to for amazing Mexican food.

The chicken enchiladas is boom, best in LA, we wanna order another one after we finish kind of good. But the birria is mid, way too salty, the meat is not bad, but overall 2.5/5 not worth the price. But everything is good, cool place, love the vibe, and the service is super nice

Best of the best hands down my favorite Mexican home taste food. Great food, excellent service, excellent atmosphere. Menudo is fire. Come with hand made tortillas. Delicious. I will definitely come back and try all the rest of the menu. (Pretty extensive, by the way)

First time I order food, the presentation is good. The only thing that I didn’t like was all the chili seeds are in the food. They should remove the seeds from the peppers before making the salsa. I had to remove all the salsa before eating my food. Taste was ok. Tortillas are seem home made.

My family and I had one of the best meals here at this little restaurant while visiting California. Being a native to the area and then moving away to Texas, I was excited to experience authentic Mexican food, not offered in Dallas. Mami Felipa did not disappoint. The juciness of the birria inside my wet burrito was paired perfectly with the salsa verde (green salsa). Due to the place being packed only 30 minutes after opening on Sunday morning, my table was not checked on more than twice, but this was not an issue as it was easy to walk to the counter and the friendly staff was ready to give you anything you asked for. Will definitely be visiting again next time I’m in California!

My review disappeared so Reposting. IF you go Pay CASH. Si esque vayan pagen en EFECTIVO! DISHONEST credit card transaction. I was hesitant when the Total on the screen was different from my bill. The woman told me don’t worry you won’t be charged that amount, my receipt was $7 less, and I had already put a good cash tip in the Tip box. Days later my bank transaction was for the amount she said I would not be charged…. DISHONEST and they charge the highest amount a business can charge for a credit card transaction fee. So I ended up paying WAY MORE for the simple food we ate. And the chicken in my enchiladas was dry with little flavor. I could have made Better tasting enchiladas at home! Way Too Expensive! NOT WORTH IT! See for yourself.

What a fantastic experience! The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The menu offered a great variety, and every dish we tried was a hit. The service was also top-notch; our server was attentive, friendly, and made excellent recommendations. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed dinner. This place is a hidden gem in Whittier. We had the Pozole and Birria plate and everything was delicious. The service is great, the atmosphere is very inviting and the decor is peaceful and serene. I recommend sharing an experience at this place for a beautiful meal.

Came in with high expectations. Left feeling a little disappointed. Partially because I was having a shit day, but mostly because the food was really nothing special. I had the chicken enchilada plate and order 3 carne asada tacos (flour tortilla).
I liked that everything was made fresh, but maybe I just didn’t get the right plate. 4 stars because why not.
