Hands down the best bar in Athens. Bartenders and door staff are always very attentive and friendly. Great drink specials and occasionally have live music upstairs. Generals is anyways the first place I stop when visiting Athens. If your looking for a fun atmosphere and great drinks look no further than Gens!

I visit this bar every time the Vols play in Athens. I’ve always had a great time. The staff is great, the crowd is fun, and very little drama happens (being a Vols fan among Dawgs). I will definitely continue my tradition of visiting every other year!

Great atmosphere and music ranging from late 80’s to now, and sometimes with your request. I highly recommend this if you’re looking for a chill but fun night in Athens. The service along with the bar tending is great.
