Local chain offering quirkily named specials, plus build-your-own pizzas & breadsticks.

When I entered the store, I was already greeted by Bethany, and she was very nice and super helpful. Her energy was very vibrant and made my experience enjoyable. This was my first time coming here and I will be returning again.

605 w was the quoted pick up time. I left at 705 with the wrong order. After sitting watching for 45 minutes I ask for a cup of water, guy nods and walks away. Then tall kid brown hair who knew it was me deliberately mispronounced my name as Michelle, when it’s Mike on the ticket. Oh yeah, screwed up my order so my family is now going to the drive thru. Best part is the franchise owner waltzes in looks around, doesn’t address the dozen people waiting similarly, but casually goes in the back and disappears. Bad people, worse service

I am not sure if this store is a separate franchise from the Carmel and Broad Ripple locations or not, but the food compared to the other two locations is just not as good. The other two locations don’t overcook their breadsticks and they are soft and hot. Every single time we order breadsticks from Westfield, they are crusty and hard. It’s so disappointing because those breadsticks are the absolute best when done correctly. I wish there was more consistency between the different locations. Westfield Hot Box, can you call Carmel or BR and get some tips? Why must you overcook the breadsticks? Or perhaps you don’t make them fresh, and they sit too long in the warmer? I don’t know, but I would be a very loyal customer if you could figure this out!!

Unfortunately, this was a disappointing experience. Both pizzas were undercooked, and one wasn’t even fully sliced. The salad consisted of wilted iceberg lettuce, a few banana peppers, and low-quality pepperoni. The chicken wings were decent, but nothing memorable.
Given the price and the tip, it felt like a significant waste of both money and time.

Ordered pizza to go. Usually trouble free and we like the taste. Today they said it would be 20 minutes and told me my total. We were running a bit behind due to road closures and rain. When we got there they said it wasn’t ready yet. I was a bit surprised. I waited they started looking around a bit and didn’t see the order. Someone from the kitchen comes and asks if I need help. He goes back and says they don’t have the order and it either got missed or was made and somebody was able to leave with our order. My family was waiting in the van during this 10-15 minute gap it took them to realize they just had nothing so we decided to leave and all they had was a sorry. I’m used to places having a promo or coupon or something for a future visit to motivate a future order make up for a mistake so they can show they can do better. If I did wait for a new order, offer a discount due to the extended wait time. I left with nothing but wasted time and no incentive to return with my business. Very disappointed because hotbox (was- past tense) one of my favorites.

A decade ago Hot Box pizza was delicious but each time we’ve gotten it recently it’s been underwhelming. My kids don’t even like it. Breadsticks are still delicious though!

Went in tonight for dinner! I have to say I frequent Carmel often, but this hotbox pizza changed that! The cashiers took AMAZING care of me! My stixs were hot and fresh, pizza was more than perfect! Honestly, the pizza was to die for quite literally. I told the manager how I will be coming back to only this location from now on! Seriously amazing food.

Wish I could give a zero star. Called HotBox when the delivery time got past 20 minutes. The man on the phone said it was coming out of the oven and getting ready to walk out the door. Being only 10 minutes from their location I was thinking it would be fine. 30 minutes roll by and pizza was still not delivered. Called the store a second time and having them cancel the order because our son was too hungry to wait anymore. Management needs to communicate more if a pizza is going to be late. This has happened to us multiple times with deliveries being late or the order not being completely fulfilled. As great as the pizza and breadsticks are, being unreliable on delivery times and not fulfilling orders is not worth the hassle.

I’m no pizza connoisseur, but I’ve been eating their pizza for more than 15 years. In a state overrun with pizza chains, that has to count for something. The location at Chauncey near Purdue’s campus was a go-to for a quick lunch during my time there. Regardless of the location, the pizza is all very consistent. Service is variable with my last visit here being better than my first. In any case, I think this is some of the best pizza for the price. Order the pie of the week for half off. Hard to beat that deal. Great breadsticks, great cheese sauce (though at this location it seemed a little different and not quite as good as the locations up in Lafayette/West Lafayette), and a great lunch deal. Who doesn’t love the different cup colors and designs they release? The HotBox specialty pizza (double spicy pepperoni with banana peppers) is my favorite.

I would give it zero if I could. Waited 50 minutes to find out my pizza was ready 25 minutes prior but no employee could be bothered to call out names. A 10yr old could do a better job.
Oh and look…they made the pizza wrong and we had to cut it. I’ve never had a worse experience.
