Steven & Grace Harrington have brought the best authentic Filipino food and experience to sc. As a retired chef who has brought other chefs , friends, and family here I have zero complaints. The food has intention and perfected simplicity. For people who don’t know about the cuisine they explain the dishes with excitement. Come get some chicken adobo , halo halo and share a great heart warming moment with the hardest working people.

Kainan Filipino Eatery is an absolute gem tucked away in the charming downtown area of Conway, SC. This family-owned restaurant delivers a delightful and authentic taste of the Philippines that welcomes both those familiar with the cuisine and curious newcomers.
The menu offers a satisfying mix of recognizable dishes (influenced by the Philippines’ history with America) alongside unique delicacies like Kare Kare. They cater to all tastes with healthy, affordable options that make it a perfect lunch spot, as well as more indulgent treats.
The owners are friendly and, clearly take pride in their restaurant. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the dining space is always spotless. Kainan has quickly become my go-to for something a little different that never disappoints. I highly recommend it!

We were really excited to see a Filipino restaurant open in downtown Conway! We dropped by for lunch one day, and breakfast another day. The food was so good, and the owners are very friendly! Their tocino silog is really good!
The halo-halo is also delicious! It’s so hard to find halo-halo anywhere it seems, and it was so delicious here!

So far the best Filipino restaurant in NC and SC, I’ve been looking for Filipino restaurant who I can eat Filipino foods that will taste like in the Philippines and this restaurant are the one that makes me feel eating in the Philippines. We ordered the pancit palabok, pork sisig (my husband loves it), pork sinigang (if you want a lil bit more sour, you could request for it) and halo-halo. My family were satisfied and worth the drive and money. I highly recommend their restaurant if you ate craving for some authentic Filipino foods.

Owners Steve and Grace Harrington have brought handcrafted authentic Philippine dishes, desserts and a true dining experience to Conway. From a scaled down menu one has a choice of starters/snacks, signature entrees and speciality breakfasts (during selective hours.) Inside is a quaint setting reflective of the Philippine culture with padded booths, padded chairs and tables on a checkered black and white tiled floor. Steve was very personable and greeted and seated us and soon we had menus and drinks in hand. First was a starter of their own delicious, deep fried Pork Lumpia with a side of sweet dipping sauce. Our choice of entrees was Pancit, with fried noodles with chicken, veggies mixed with garlic and onion. Noodles were a tad bit salty and the chicken light. But overall good presentation, flavorful and prices reasonable. Two pieces of Lumpia and sauce came with the meal. Living and supporting local businesses will have us returning.

What a wonderful place to have come across in downtown Conway today. I can’t say enough about the chicken adobo. It was so perfectly slow cooked in that juice that all the meat fell off the bone when I picked it up..and it goes perfectly with that Rice it was so flavorful and fresh. I can’t wait to go back.
