I ordered coffee from the most delightful barista this morning. The coffee was amazing and all the staff were so nice!! I am visiting home from Virginia and I really missed “Minnesota Nice”… I left with an absolute happiness BOOST, start your morning off right with Caribou from this location!

My husband,daughter and I stopped for some drinks today close to 4pm.
We weren’t sure what we wanted right away and took a moment to decide.During our order we watched as the cashier who was waiting on us roll her eyes and widen them irritably when placing our orders into the register as we stated our individual drinks.Now I do get it,retail and food service isn’t for the weak.She may have just been having a bad day,dealt with rude people or a huge rush before we visited.I worked it for nearly 10 years so we make a point to be kind and courteous,but she was unnecessarily irritated and short with us regardless.Our order was ready promptly moments later,which we appreciate and we left.We LOVE our Caribou,it is the only one near us and never had issues with this store.I hope the management at this particular Caribou is doing what they can to take care of and check on their employees because I know work is work,most of us don’t have a many options,however none of them seemed generally happy.

I went to this location multiple times while in the area. The staff were not unfriendly but they certainly didn’t seem like they enjoyed their jobs. No one smiled when greeting you and just kind of went through the motions, except for one time but I never caught her name. I will say, obviously none of this stopped me from coming in multiple times so it really wasn’t that bad. I got everything I ordered in a reasonable amount of time and it was all just as delicious as I remembered it being.

I’ve been to a bunch of Caribous around Minnesota and I think the location in Coborns in Elk River just might be the best. Being in a store where you can get groceries is a huge plus. The biggest reason is the girls that work there. They have been very helpful when I’ve had questions or special requests. They also show very sincere appreciation for tips, which is not always the case.

This place is great! Friendly staff and very accommodating to special orders. I had a staff member tell me a different way to order my favorite drink to save me money! I go to many caribou restaurants but this one is always my favorite. The drinks taste better. Maybe it is the genuine smiley faces but whatever it is I love this Bou!
