Great to find an Indian Buffet! The price is very good, $21.99 for a buffet dinner. The food has good flavor, but it is a little limited compared to the regular menu. The food I had was a little on the cold side when I got to it, so it would have been nice to have hot food. But the flavors are good so I am excited to go back.

I thoroughly enjoyed a delicious dinner courtesy of The House of India in Ashland, Oregon. Everything was cooked to perfection and the seasonings certainly enhanced the foods without being overbearing. There was a wonderful new server who was very enthusiastic about learning, both the menu and the language! She triple-checked everything, was not afraid to ask questions or for clarification, and the owner, a delightful man, was there to mentor her. It made the whole experience more enjoyable.

This place is amazing. I have celiac and had to double check that most of the buffet was gluten-free. It really did not taste like dry sadness so I really thought that perhaps it had wheat in it. There were these round bread balls that were in a sweet sauce that were amazing and made from corn flour and totally gluten-free. I’m very reactive and was fine after eating at the buffet. There were a few items that had gluten but the staff were very knowledgeable and let me know what to avoid. We had fresh mango juice with our meal and it was amazing too! My kids loved everything and the pond out front was beautiful. Everything was just amazing and it was very reasonably priced. We plan to visit every time we go to ashland from now on. It was a family hit!

We visited this place during our vacation and ordered the Cauliflower Manchurian, Chicken Vindaloo Thali, and Garlic Chicken Thali. We had specifically asked for the dishes to be spicy, but unfortunately, they weren’t — in fact, they turned out quite sweet. The Chicken Vindaloo lacked the authentic spicy, tangy kick it’s known for, and the sambar was very watery without the traditional flavor.

As someone familiar with Indian flavors, I felt the dishes were missing the bold spices and taste you’d expect. The items I did enjoy were the Cauliflower Manchurian, the raita, and the mixed vegetable korma/curry that came with the thali. I wasn’t a fan of the dessert either, though it was at least served nice and chilled. On the positive side, the service was good — the server was friendly and welcoming.

Their buffet is amazing! Downright spectacular home cooking style, clean, laid back and exceeded both mine & my wife’s expectations big time! These people work hard to make this happen & deserve at least six stars for keeping it real!

We really like House of India! We’ve been here for the lunch buffet and for dinner, and were very pleased both times our food, selections. Their chicken dishes are moist and flavorful. Today I had their Butter Chicken and Tandoori Chicken, and Cabbage Fry and couldn’t stop eating… in a good way! If you like Indian food, Definitely check them out!

We ordered the food online on their website for pickup. Very easy and quick process. They have a lot of good deals. When we showed up early our food was already waiting for us. The staff was super friendly and attentive. We had a nice small chat with one person while another person found and confirmed our order. The food was tasty and the portions were good. We ended up having leftovers for lunch the next day and it was still plenty tasty.

This place has incredible food, a great atmosphere, and affordable prices. The service is always fantastic, warm and welcoming. We come here regularly for the brunch buffet, and on Fridays and Saturdays they offer dinner buffets too. The spread never disappoints. Great for vegetarians and meat eaters, there is something for everyone! I highly recommend supporting this Ashland gem!!!

I had dinner at the restaurant on Sunday, January 5, 2025. I had the mixed tandoori, and it was perhaps the best tandoori I ever had. To be honest, coming from Fremont – nicknamed Indiatown – in the Bay Area of San Francisco, I had not expected the food to be this good. I highly recommend this restaurant for authentic Indian food.
