Hello and Welcome to Alamode Specialty Foods Market, home of the Ice Cream Alchemist Boozy Ice Cream! We are a family owned and operated shop featuring home made ice cream, pie (whole and by the slice), grab & go meals, made to order breakfast & lunch sandwiches, Deli Meals, coffee, lattes, pastries, and more! We are currently open Monday through Friday, 7am to 6pm, weekends 8a to 6p. The Ice cream window is open til 8pm daily during summer. Ice cream is available all day in the market.

I looked for a local bakery to bring my wife to for dessert for her 69th birthday and Alamode sounded wonderful so I told her it would be a surprise. We weren’t disappointed. We purchased meals and dessert to go, the staff was very friendly, and the food was unbelievable. Alamode’s is only 35 minutes from our house and we will be going there frequently in the future.

Meatball canzone was AMAZING. Definitely friendly staff especially as a first time customer music was classy and relaxing. Soda is not “popular” name brand but is better in my opinion would definitely like to come back maybe this time try the coffee?

This place is a such a hidden gem. Its such a cozy, almost romantic atmosphere with SO much to offer. They have great gluten free options and even better ice cream. HIGHLY suggest getting an affogato (you can choose any ice cream flavor you want!). Incredibly kind staff as well. I love this place!

We took our dogs for a walk at Quaddick State Park, and we were in the mood for some coffee afterward. On our way to the Vanilla Bean Cafe in Pomfret, we came to a tiny intersection with a house, a barn, and Alamode market. We decided to stop and check it out. Best decision, ever! lol! The selection of food and coffee is top shelf. The girls who work there are so sweet and accommodating. We’ll be stopping by again, soon. Five stars!

Best coffee in Windham County. Always grab a cup when I’m in town! Chocolate chip cookies are excellent too. Great location near Quaddick Lake in a quiet part of Thompson.

WOW. Happened upon this wonderful place by accident. It won’t be an accident the next time we are in the area – it will be a scheduled destination. The food choices and quality is amazing. Very broad and diverse selection of pastries, beverages, cheeses, and sandwiches. Staff is wonderful. We ate in and then bought extra to fill our cooler and had picnics all the way back to TN.

Cute spot! The ice cream is so good – unique flavors using fresh and authentic ingredients (no fake flavoring). Mayan Chocolate is my favorite . Great outdoor seating to relax and enjoy the nice weather.
