I was craving banh mi terribly and didn’t feel like venturing too far just to get some, aka I was lazy, and to my surprise I found this place. I excitedly decided to try it out, and was already skeptical because of the prices. Banh mi isn’t that over priced. But when I finally bit into it, it didn’t taste like legit banh mi. It tasted like banh mi that’s appealing to the customer base of non-Asian people. And that’s not the type of banh mi for me. I didn’t want to waste it so I ate it, but I’m pretty disappointed with it’s taste. I also ordered an order of duck bao buns and was really excited for them too. Smallest duck bao buns I have ever seen and had! For that price, that’s way too much!!! Again, appealing to the non-Asian customer base much? I guess that’s understandable considering where the location is, but I’ll stick to buying my banh mi in North/South Philly. Y’all can have your white-Asian food. It sucks because the owner seemed to be a pretty nice guy too. Parking is also so-so, street parking is wonky and interesting. The parking lot only has 3 spaces.

Incredible! Awesome! Intense! Fabulous! Full or flavor! I love The Simon sandwich. I’m not usually big on Asian style food but these sandwiches are absolutely the best of the best. The bread is so good. Other than the difficulty in finding a place to park, there is nothing bad to say about this place. I’m glad it’s close enough for me to walk to. The friendly staff makes you feel welcome. This is my new weekend lunch spot. I absolutely love it.

I recently tried the chicken and the rib eye sandwich at Banh Street. I love food and also cook extensively. I have never consumed sandwiches like these, they are unique. First, the rolls were perfect with a crispy exterior and soft interior. The inner roll is removed so that more food can be stuffed inside. Second, the flavors are complex using marinated tender chicken and very tender rib eye that mingles with cilantro and pickled vegetables. Highly recommended!!!!!

Tried the Shrimp & Chicken and both were outstanding. The quality of the ingredients really stand out and take these sandwiches a level above most street food. The bread is delicious and the house mayo is killer. Will definitely be going back for more.

This is for the Ambler location, which just opened yesterday 12/21. I do not give a 5 star rating lightly. I had the Simon Le Bahn last night. The chicken was moist with perfect spice. I opted for Chili Mayo. The baguette was very crusty, and very fresh. The fresh elements pulled it all together. Some are complaining about the price. I’m sure they could charge less, but bye bye quality. Looking forward to the Fried Chicken that is coming. Chad and crew you have earned a loyal customer. Great job!

Great food that is simply made with bold flavors. I have worked in some of the best resturants in the center city area. I’ve tried some pretty exceptional items from every corner of the world. I can say with positivity that Banh Street is doing the Vietnamese culture proud with their take on the “Banh mi”. Parallel to the great food is good service and that is a winning combination. I look forward to trying the rest of the menu and seeing this place grow over the years.

I ate there today for the first time. The Chicken sandwich was amazing. I don’t live nearby, but every time I’m in the area I will absolutely try everything on the menu. The flavors are unique and delicious!

The baguette was nice and crusty, and the vegetables were fresh. Nicely flavored sauce as well. However, $9 and up for a regular sized sandwich with no sides is a lot for lunch. Also, there’s no place to wait that’s weather sheltered, so you stand outside for ten minutes in a cold wind until it’s ready.
