We’ve visited The Clocktower a handful of times for both dinner and brunch, and it never disappoints.
The restaurant itself is stunning. The interior is cozy and inviting and you can tell the owners put tons of thought into the design. The patio is spacious and perfect to come have a drink when the weather is nice. They have picnic tables and tons of seating around the perimeter so it never feels overcrowded.
The food is OUTSTANDING. They feature new items seasonally, but some of our favorites include the skillet cornbread, the BELT, the chicken sandwich and the breakfast burrito (both of which we’ve eaten too fast to photograph). They also have some of the best pancakes I’ve ever had. In the fall we enjoyed a pumpkin pancake, and during our most recent visit we had a life changing cookie butter pancake. We don’t visit during brunch without getting a pancake for the table. Their fries and sauce hit every time as well!!!!
This place is an absolute gem in Plain City. The food is elevated, but the vibe is welcoming. The portions are super generous and I always leave with leftovers.

This was a great place that was lively, beautiful, and offered excellent service. The food was not as great as I was expecting. Each dish had a lot of flavor, just very different. Spot on was the gluten free cookie dessert with ice cream. 4 ofnus shared it and there was stillnsome remaining. This was oversized and delicious. For appetizers, we ordered the cauliflower (didn’t care for this), the pork belly (very small amount of pork) with brussels sprouts, and the Buratta (the star ofnthe appetizers, excellent). The pork chop for my entree was a bit overcooked. I would not order this again. The sweet potato mash and brussel sprouts were excellent. Our server was great.

We stopped in for brunch and absolutely loved it! The restaurant has such a unique and charming atmosphere — cozy, inviting, and full of character. Our table shared the pumpkin pancakes, which were perfectly fluffy and full of fall flavor. The eggs Benedict were spot-on, and the $5 mimosas were the perfect brunch treat. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Overall, a wonderful experience from start to finish. We can’t wait to come back and enjoy the new outdoor area.
Edit….my eggs Benedict did not come with fries, had to try my husbands

We just went to the Clocktower in Plain City. We had the breakfast burger and hot honey chicken sandwich. Appetizers were the pickled onion rings and poblano cornbread. My daughter has celiac disease and we found out their breading is gluten free, GF safe fryer, and they can make about 95% of the menu gluten free too!

We went to try it for the first time tonight. Walking in the service was immediate and friendly. It was however very loud since they were busy. I ended up needing to use my noise cancelling earplugs(loops) to be able to hear my own thoughts. Our server was Madyson and she was AMAZING. She answered all of my questions and was extremely friendly and helpful. We had the burrata appetizer which was okay, the sauce was delicious. We ordered the PC smashburger with truffle fries, steak frites, and kids Mac and cheese. The burger was okay, definitely not a smashburger. The truffle fries and fry sauce were delicious and I would highly recommend them. The steak frites were enjoyed with the delicious chimmichurri aioli. While my son didn’t like his Mac and cheese stating he thought it was “too cheesy” I thought it was delicious and plan to eat the leftovers myself. The best part was definitely the wonderful server and service, and the truffle fires. We plan to return and try different dishes next time.

WARNING! The cornbread here will change your life. The Clocktower Kitchen + Bar is a game changer for Plain City. Amazing vibes & amazing food. Service was top-notch from the moment we walked in the door.. We started the evening with the poblano cornbread and the burrata appetizers. Both items were fabulous… but that cornbread will be the thing that brings us back here again and again. For dinner I had the steak frites and my wife had the pork chop. While both were delicious, the pork chop stole the show with amazing flavor combinations from the peach barbecue sauce to the best brussel sprouts I’ve ever had (maple roasted)! Can’t wait to come back and discover more new favorites.

My friend and I met up for lunch on a Friday afternoon. There were quite a few people in, but was still able to get a seat right away. The inside of the restaurant is warm and inviting. It’s been nicely designed.
Our waitress was fantastic. She was attentive and informative. We got everything so quickly.
We split the burrata appetizer. It’s delicious! The jam is delicious and matches perfectly with the cheese. I also got a side bistro salad. It was fine. I forgot to take a photo of it. I don’t know if I needed more dressing or what was falling short for me. My main was the short rib ragu. It was so good. It was a great portion, the ratio of sauce, meat, noodles was perfectly appropriate. It will be hard trying something different after having that.

Came for dinner Fri nite and was a bit surprised by how expensive this place is, given that it’s in Plain City. It will probably be their downfall. My Fish n Chips was just okay but the fries weren’t hot. The side of brussel sprouts was good but don’t take home any leftovers as they stink up your car and frig. Wife enjoyed her pork chop plate but the mashed sweet potatoes had no seasoning, like cinn or brown sugar you normally get. The cornbread was very good but a bit pricey. Service was decent, however it appeared that the experienced wait staff is training a bunch of college age kids, so hopefully the service won’t drop. Personally didn’t see any reason to return. The atmosphere is LOUD as it is difficult to carry on a conversation at your table.

My husband and I had a PHENOMENAL dining experience. The staff is so welcoming and attentive to our needs. I have a food allergy and they were extremely knowledgeable about the menu items. Everything was cooked to perfection and offered incredible flavor. The ambience of the restaurant is absolutely impeccable. We will be back soon, thank you!

Went here for our anniversary and it was our first time. All the staff we had contact with were extremely professional and helpful. Our waitress was wonderful. My husband had the fish and chips and said it was delicious. I had the filet medallions and broccoli. I love a good filet cooked medium. This filet was terrible. I honestly don’t think it was filet at all but a much cheaper cut of beef. It was so tough and had no flavor at all. The more you chewed it, the bigger it got! I have never left a steak before but I did this one. The broccoli wasn’t even good. It came out cold and very chewy. The steak with a side of broccoli was around $45 and I went home and had a PBJ sandwich! I would say it’s a nice place but stay away from the steaks.
