Overall, the food was bomb—no notes there. I’m giving the service 4 stars only because our waitress was a bit inattentive, but since they just opened, I’ll give her some grace. Now the food? The pizza had a perfectly crispy crust, and the Caprese-style appetizer had me in a chokehold—one of my favorites for sure. Drinks were great too. A little pricey, but when the food hits like this, I’m not mad about it.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience thanks to our waitress, Camilla. Her service was truly spectacular, she was very attentive, patient, and took the time to answer all of our questions without ever making us feel rushed. She gave great recommendations and made us feel genuinely welcomed.
This was our first time here, and because of Camilla’s kindness and outstanding service, this place is officially becoming part of our weekly dinner rotation. She’s a true gem and made our visit memorable. Highly recommend asking for her if you stop by!

Tonight was my second trip to the Riverview location for Mellow Mushroom. We ordered 1 large and 1 small pizza along with 10 wings for a $72 order overall. This is a pretty high price but not overly inflated based on other pizza chains in the area. The 10 boneless wings alone were $15 for 5 BBQ and 5 Sweet Thai Chili. I provided a photo showing just how small these wings were. I’d argue these are closer to or smaller than a comparable 10 piece chicken nugget at a neighboring fast food chain, which could be had for around $5 or less. In my mind Mellow Mushroom is putting an incredible markup on their wings and then providing a very small portion for the price. Lesson learned and I will never buy wings from Mellow Mushroom again. I should say this happened once before when I ordered a take out order from Pizza Hut and may be standard practice if you’re not eating in-store.
My advice, if you’re in Riverview and you want wings with your pizza, make a second trip to Wing Snob right down the road and you can get 10 boneless wings with more sauce flavors for $10.99. For context I had Wing Snob a few weeks prior and struggled to finish all 10 wings. Please do better for your customers Mellow Mushroom, reduce the price, or increase the size of wings you provide for the high price. Otherwise the pizza I’ve tried here has been pretty good and orders have been accurate!

This was my first time dining here, and it definitely won’t be my last! I started with the bread and cheese, which came out warm, fresh, and absolutely delicious. For my main dish, I chose my own pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms, and pineapple—everything was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I also ordered the chicken wings, which were tender, well-seasoned, and a great addition to the meal.
On top of the great food, the service was friendly and welcoming from start to finish. Gianna was awesome! Overall, a fantastic experience! Highly recommended.
