We love this place! If you want really good Jamaican food, you have to stop in here. The people are really nice. I always get brown stewed chicken. This time I also got a beef patty and carrot juice. We stop here when we travel, but the food is always good and enough to have some for later.

Jerk tofu rice bowl very good, jerk fries fine, jerk chicken great. Price was high, takeout containers and plastic forks not great.

Overall very good, but fifty bucks for lunch for two is a bit much. Good portions.

Super happy I decided to try Di Big Jerk. Hands down the best Jamaican restaurant in Gainesville. My pictures aren’t great (curried goat and jerk chicken) but I took them after I already started eating.
I’d give them both 10/10. – Born & raised in Jamaica so my comment has some weight

It was like returning to Jamaica-chill atmosphere, laid back service, food done slow and right. I had tacos and my friend had the curry goat-she’s native Jamaican and loved it, we were both impressed by its portion size. Pineapple ginger juice was delicious and refreshing. Would go again!

Food was good but pretty expensive. We got the jerk chicken lunch platter with the mac and cheese. Well seasoned and flavored, just expensive. It was about $50 for just two people, one drink. I’ve been in a few times though and it’s pretty empty for some reason.

Omg! This is so awesome. The food was nice and fresh, piping hot and prepared with absolute love. The jerk bowls are so exciting and the flavor is remarkable. The curry goat was savory, and tender with the best flavor of rice and the coleslaw was such a treat.

I really wanted to like this place, but one guy wasn’t the most welcoming, the other guy seemed ok, the food, I had curry goat with cabbage, it was good but the plantains were beyond horrible, I couldn’t believe they served them I wouldn’t have, the jerk chicken wasn’t terrible but the sides were not good at all, once again if it’s not good don’t serve it.
Plantains were gross, seemed like they had been leftovers from Monday. Sorry but like I said I really wanted to like the place, please taste your food before you send it out.
