I’ve tried to like this place. I really have. Visited a few times over the last few years. Sushi ain’t the freshest. Bento boxes aren’t great (teriyaki chiken was stringy). Miso soup tastes off. Even the packets of soy sauce are Chinese (Hong Kong) rather than Japanese. Love supporting local but I just can’t. :

3 1/2 stars, came on a slow Saturday afternoon. Service was fine. My teacup had some weird grime on the outside and the soy sauce trays had some dirty sticker stuck to them.

Food was ok, came quickly. Nothing exceptional, but nothing terrible either. I paid 54 dollars for the meal and for that price and what I received I don’t think I would be tempted to come back.

It’s a typical Portland sushi place in the Beaumont neighborhood. It’s not bad for the price they are charging. Good for a quick sushi fix.

Called ahead to verify that they had All You Can Eat, drove the 30 minutes to check it out then was told that it’s only for two or more people. The food looked great but I’ll never know :/

The service was awesome, very nice servers. Not too many people in the restaurant. The service was fast and the food was very hot and delicious I will definitely come back. I got the lunch special which is from 11-4 I got the Oregon salmon roll and California roll which also came with a cucumber salad and miso soup plus goyza also the presentation was beautiful.

I bought the Salem roll which includes imitation crab and is deep fried. Oh it was so good.. soft, a bit sweet given from the imitation crab, avocado was ripe, seaweed did not stick to my teeth like in many places, the cream cheese gave a sense of warmth, rice was cooked perfectly and gently wrapped the flavors together very well. The staff were very nice and hospitable making the overall experience really great. I recommend going out to eat here.

I was heading home after work and I noticed traffic was really bad… I didn’t want to wait so I took the next exits and stumbled upon this Yummy Restaurant by accident! So happy I did! My sushi was delicious and so were the beverages! I tried a Strawberry Saki and Grabe Soju. As well as a peach sparkling water! The flavors were so delightful and paired nicely with my sushi. Also’ the two gentlemen that helped me were really kind and helpful in picking out my saki and Soju drinks! I was able to buy a sample before the bottle! I love that they have that option! I liked the samples so much that I bought a bottle of each! It was just a wonderful experience overall and I’m thankful that I stopped in when I did! When I got home’ I decided to share my experience and my drinks with my sister for Valentines Day! Thank you friends at Momiji! You’re the best!

Place was relatively empty so my party of 4 was seated quickly. However waitress (Apollo) spilled my drink on me. I had to ask for napkins to wipe my menu. Then proceeded to bring my husband the wrong beer without carding him or asking for ID (we’re 25, so we’re always carded plus in Oregon you gotta ask at least which she didn’t). Then each round of sushi took 20 minutes to make or longer. Our waitress then ignored us while trying to place our next order and I had to walk up to the chef to hand in my order. At this point, having been to multiple sushi places this one was disappointing in the service and atmosphere. Not to mention the annoying gnats trying to land in my food that I had to keep at bay. Signs mention complimentary green tea and miso soup, not once we’re we given or offered that part of our meal. The waitress ignored us after saying excusee 3 times and snapped at us for asking for more food during our all you can eat.
For the price we pay, I’d expect a more attentive server and not someone ignoring customers to be on their personal phone on the clock.

Got home and found that they gave us spoiled sushi. This was the tuna. Stay away.
