Sunday morning my husband and I stopped for breakfast. We needed a meal to fuel us for the long drive home across the state. We have never visited the Miles City area before. 4.5 star reviews led us to this cafe. We found the cafe clean inside and out. When we arrived there were 3 tables occupied, a booth of 4 men by the door with another who arrived after us; a center table with 4 males and a female and in the corner a couple with their daughter (I assume). Only the table of 3 had food at their table. I watched with my own eyes as the other two tables were served by the lone waitress/server. Another couple arrived after us and after the table of 3 had left. We ordered our personal favorites that we have ordered many times before and prepared at home. My husband’s omelette was substandard but he ate at least half of it being famished from our long drive and another in our future that day. I ordered Chicken Fried Steak breakfast. I barely swallowed 3 bites. My slices of toast were barely toasted, barely buttered and the bread itself was a poor quality. I asked for strawberry jam and was rewarded with 3 but they were old and hard to scoop out of the container. The hash browns I chose were hard squares of potatoes, I think. I tried to stab one with my fork and it didn’t go in but slid off my plate. They left visible oil on the white plate that glistened under the light. I picked one up and tried it, hard outside as if deep fat fried and no seasoning that tasted like Arby’s curly fries as the server told me. 2 over easy eggs were laid on top and even though my plan was to mix them up it couldn’t be done. They were hard. My husband did enjoy the last egg, he loves eggs! My Chicken Fried Steak was the worst. I’ve never had anything like it. Its seasoning was hard and crispy like it had been deep fried also or at least fried in a pan with too much oil. The gravy was gray in color and not that it mattered but not much of it. I have no idea the meat used but didn’t care. I was hungry but repulsed. I ate 3 bites of yuk. I cut it up thinking I’d have a treat for our dogs but my husband said leave it. My husband drank coffee, one taste and he whispered to me how weak it was. My Dr Pepper was dead! Please. If you’re going to offer carbonated drinks please keep the settings up. McDs is great at it, ask for help even your distributor should be able to help.
I offer this distasteful review of our meal because my husband’s review was met with bitterness and disdain from…whoever answered it. They used the word skeptical several times. Unlike my husband, I have pics. Tell me now this didn’t happen.
We chose to walk away. We didn’t complain to our server. We left our plates on the table. We paid our bill, in full, exactly as required. We walked away.
And if you’re still skeptical, see pics. Tell me now it didn’t happen.

This is a great spot. Located right outside downtown on main Street, not far from the library, it would be a stop before you head to the movie theater, or go antiquing.
There is a shop connected to the restaurant that sells many nice paintings of highland cows.
The decor, and atmosphere are clean, and rustic. The brickwork windows a reminder of the way things used to be, and the handmade tables are a good sign of hometown craftsmanship.
The service was excellent with the waitress checking in on us regularly.
The food came out in a timely manner and looked great. The taste was top tier. The house chips were amazing. They were sliced so thin that they snapped and crackled in your mouth. The seasoning was one I’ve never tasted before and it was very pleasant, bold, and sharp, with a cheese finish.
The sandwiches came out on wonderfully toasted bread, with great ratios of sauce to meat to cheese to toast. I couldn’t save the second half for any future meal.
Our table also ordered the pulled pork taco, and it was warm, juicy, and tender. The taco shell looked to be steamed just right.

Really enjoyed my meal. I got the garden omelette with house seasoned potatoes and it was delicious. The omelette was enormous, hanging off both sides of the plate. The omelette was filled with veggies all perfectly cooked and folded into the eggs. The potatoes were well seasoned and also delicious. I never got my coffee but was very satisfied with my food and how friendly everyone was.
Bathroom was very clean and the eating atmosphere was very nice. I’d recommend them for a hearty breakfast for sure.

Service was great. She was very attentive and checked on me often, and I feel she would have done that even if I wasn’t the only one there at that time.
Ordered the mushroom swiss. It was pretty good, but the chips were great. They are made fresh daily and have a really tasty seasoning on them. Would eat here again the next time I come through Miles City.

Driving south through Montana and happened to stop here for breakfast. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.
I had the Big Sky omelette and a pancake and both were really excellent.
Wish I lived closer. I would definitely be a regular.

We were looking for breakfast during our travels from North Dakota to Bozeman. My wife found this restaurant on the internet. We stopped and we all ordered omelettes, they were excellent. So glad that we decided to stop!

A hidden gem of the community! Had the loveliest breakfast on the dog-friendly patio. The Farmhouse bagel sandwich was fantastic and the coffee was honestly some of the best black coffee I’ve had in town. I just had to come back later to get the peanut butter and chocolate cinnamon roll. Highly recommend!

I just arrived in town and this is the first restaurant I’ve eaten at. Restaurant has a nice ambience, the food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. Definitely check this place out if you’re in town.

It’s no longer a bagel shop but having a weekend breakfast cafe is wonderful. Excellent food with some true house-made items, friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, and very fair pricing!! They even have a floral/gift shop connected to the establishment for any of those needs.

Really liked the food here, but I had soup and salad so I didn’t experience any grease, I like healthy options without grease and deep frying, what my husband had was apparently greasy and wasn’t a fan of
