First time ordering from this place. I ordered a double smash burger and a side of fries. When my order came, the fries (extra $5) were missing. I reached out to the store who said it was not their fault but the delivery service. The delivery service was professional and apologetic even though it was not their fault. The employee I spoke with from the restaurant was rude and unprofessional. In the end I attempted to to eat the burger but the bun was greasy and burnt as was the burger. All and all it was a terrible experience and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.,

Ordered the papa deluxe and poutine fries. The deluxe was really tasty, the pickles don’t have the classic pickle flavor, it’s more of a cucumber flavor. The poutine fries were good, the beef on the poutine is more ground beef without too much flavor, the cheese was stretchy and mild, and the gravy sauce was rich and added a nice saltiness to the fries. I the fries could be eaten as a meal and comes in a large portion.

The burger was so good it earned a review from me and I rarely write reviews. This is officially my favorite spot for burgers. it was my first visit, and I’m really hoping they keep this same quality.

If you’ve ever looked in Northern VA for a place that can make a super authentic, super delicious Chicago-style hotdog, look no further. Bun Papa has got it. And they do it really, really well. Their hot dog is big, loaded with fixings, on top of a soft, melt-in-your-mouth bun. So good that, after I finished the first one, I went back and ordered a second. Great little place. Great customer service. Will go back again first chance I get.

A hidden gem located inside the Bread & Water Company building. Bun Papa has the best affordable burgers that taste like premium burger places. Forget Five Guys, forget Shake Shack, Bun Papa has the better burgers on homemade brioche buns made in house. The wait time was a little long, but that’s only because people were ordering large orders, and after having one bite, who could blame them! Sandwiches are priced between 10-12 bucks for double beef patty or chicken thigh Sandwich. Add Two large Lemonades and large order of waffle poutine fries and you’ll have the recipe for a great night.
They also do early breakfast from 7am-10am with a killer breakfast burrito (haven’t tried yet, but will be back). The workers are nice and they had the great tunes playing in the background. Also sell RTE soups, cold Sandwiches, and big cookies, and bread. They are worth a visit

The bread was stale and crumbled off as I bit into the burger. The fries were good but a little bit too salty. Food is pricey not worth it when adding it all up

A hidden gem?
I love the vibe when you walk in! We ate our meal outside at the entry tables. It was so cute to eat at a little shopping plaza and enjoy your meal after shopping. The burgers are AMAZING! The poutine was great! I don’t normally like french fries but I kept eating them lol so that means something.
the box is adorable. We also got a cheesecake which was dense and creamy! Really light and refreshing lemony taste with blueberry. Thank you, we’ll be coming back.

I had the roadhouse burger and it was absolutely delicious. The brioche bun was lightly grilled with two beef patties, smoky bacon and bbq sauce. Oh did I forget to mention the fried onion straws. I will definitely be back.

I was originally looking for the old Bread and Water when I found out it had been changed to Bun papa. I had no expectations on the food and I was pleasantly surprised. I played it safe and ordered the fried chicken sandwich. OMG the sandwich was delicious!!! It tasted like a fried Bonchon chicken made into a sandwich. You get to pick a dressing for your sandwich and a picked ranch dressing. I usually don’t like pickles but these were equally as good too. This was one of the best chicken sandwiches that I’ve ever had. I was also in an out in about 8 minutes. I highly recommend!!

– location is hard to find cause they don’t have a big sign hanging at the top. This place is located at the bread & water company, to the left of dishes of India.
– food has really good flavor but was made super sloppy, the chicken had nice flavor but was really dry and the hotdog was really good but super messy and the bun fell apart.
– staff were friendly.
– service was a little slow at the time going.
– prices normal for the area.
– doesn’t have seats inside but does have a few outside.
– plenty of parking due to the location.
– overall a good first experience but food was made very sloppy and feel it could have been better. But I’d still recommend this location.
