You walk into a warm and very clean atmosphere and are greeted by a friendly staff. The menu is written in Japanese and adds to the atmosphere. The owner came out and personally answered all of our questions. The meal starts with a hot wash cloth which is a very nice touch. Our appetizer was crunchy spring roles that were served with a generous and tasty portion of sauce. My wife ordered the Sakura Gozen Teishoku special, which is a whole meal. I went with the Chicken Teriyaki. Her dinner special was a tasty dining delight as was my Chicken Teriyaki. If you are looking for a Japanese dinner experience in the New Bedford area, this is the place. It was worth the drive for us. Come hungry and I know you will leave happy after a great dining adventure.

This was the first time that my husband and I have been here. It was an amazing experience. The owner is just absolutely phenomenal. The wait staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu so they make great recommendations. The food was just fantastic. My husband was even very impressed and normally he just says that things are okay LOL. This place will definitely be on our favorite places to go list.

Exceptional place for Japanese food. Cozy place with a few tables to dine in. They also offer take out. Large assortment of very tasty sushi. They are very open to modifying dishes to taste or dietary restrictions. Additional Japanese dishes offered as well. Extremely attentive service.

If you like sushi and Japanese food, definitely try it out.

This spot was absolutely amazing. Went with three of my friends and the owner was beyond wonderful. Upon leaving I saw an origami elephant made out of a dollar bill and was gushing over it. The owner saw this and gave it to me, explaining that the trunk of the elephant must be facing a door to eliminate any bad juju from people who enter. He made my night! Will definitely come again. Bring good vibes and the atmosphere will be amazing. Come hungry, the sushi is delicious!

Let me first start off by saying WOW! Blown away by this experience.

Hospitality 10/10. The chef at Yozakura takes good care of his customers and does so with a smile on his face.

Ambiance is so cute and quaint. Soft soothing music playing in the background. Cozy and inviting.

Food was outstanding! Every appetizer had my tastebuds craving for the next one.
The blackberry sorbet was the perfect palette cleanser.
On to the main course. The scallops were cooked to perfection, juicy and succulent.
But the chicken katsu was the real star of the night. Perfectly crispy outside served on top of a bed of curry rice pilaf. Hands down the best dish I’ve ever had in this city. Tried to savor every bite.

As if that wasn’t enough, the experience ended with a decadent chocolate bomb. Chocolate truffle filled with rich ganache and served with a side of coffee caramel ice cream.

Highly recommend to anyone looking for an authentic and delightful omakase experience.

FINALLY! After having a lot of sub par sushi experiences in the area, I’m very excited to have found and tried Yozakura! Firstly, everyone there was super friendly. They were super careful packing my to go order which was appreciated and everything looked amazing. They let me know they were testing out some new containers (they made it home just fine.) Everything was delicious and the fish was so fresh! I also got an order of gyoza which were very good and the sauce had a little bit of a kick which was a nice surprise. A small touch that was particularly nice is that they include a disposable soy sauce dish in the to go order which I loved! Overall, a great experience and we will absolutely be back.

I have been to this new location a few times now and to say it’s a special place is an understatement! The experience from being seated and offered warm towels to the complementary tea service at the end of the meal makes the meal that much better. Will certainly be going back to try out more of the offerings!

I’m crying inside writing this… and I feel really bad however, our food was inedible… and the $52 I just spent is pretty much going in the trash. The gentleman on the phone was super nice taking my order. Super helpful, answered questions and was incredibly polite when I walked in the door. He offered me tea while I waited which was a nice thought. Our finances are tough right now, so we don’t often spend a lot of money on takeout, so this was a splurge for us. I love Japanese food, especially more authentic recipes.

Unfortunately, my miso soup was so salty It was like I was licking a brick of straight miso. I’ve never seen miso soup be this red and this opaque before. I couldn’t eat it. I took one spoonful.

My shumai was OK I guess… but again the sauce that came with it was so incredibly salty. All you could taste was that soy super salty flavor and nothing else.

My teriyaki again same thing it was this super sickly sweet and salty sauce… I took a couple bites, but I just can’t do it. And I love salt, I often over salt things compared to other people.

My partners Tonkotsu ramen… it just tasted strange… nothing like other Tonkotsu ramen I’ve had in the past. The flavor was so weird it didn’t sit well in his stomach, I also tried it, and did not like it either.

I’m honestly not sure how everything went so wrong…

I visited this place as I was craving for sushi. The place is small but very cozy. The owner was very humble and made my experience super comfortable. He prepared me a citrus tea and a special sauce that was out of this world, not to mention that it was courtesy of the house. Prices are reasonable and the food is delicious, a must try sushi experience in New Bedford.

My boyfriend and I ordered takeout, and it was my first time trying sushi, we got the I.D.L.Y.A. to split & it was delicious! I got the Yakimeshi and my boyfriend got the Chicken Teriyaki dinners, which both came with soup and salad. The salad dressing was also so good!! Their service was spot on, big portions and fast delivery. We will definitely be ordering from here again!!
