A unique taproom, bottle shop, home-brew, and wine-making experience in Opelika, AL. We have 24+ craft beers on tap for on-premise consumption or growler fills to go. We also have a large selection of craft beer to go (6 & 4 packs, pick six), wine (by the glass or bottle), and kombucha. We sell all of the equipment and ingredients you need to make your own beer, wine, mead, or kombucha, and we offer how to classes to help you with getting started. WSBS is kid (and pet) friendly! We have plenty of games and activities to engage your little helpers while you explore the shop! We are located at 830 North Railroad Avenue in beautiful historic downtown Opelika, AL.

The ladies who run this place are perfect. They know how to entertain, pour beer, and engage with customers. Great beer, great atmosphere, and many calendar events on the table. Honestly the “coolest” place to drink beer ‘round these parts

Nice shop for brewing equipment in downtown Opelika. They have all that you may need to brew and bottle and the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. They also have a great selection of their own and local brews. You can get samples if you need help figuring out what you’d like. The atmosphere is great and the place has a cozy small town family feel. They don’t serve food, but there are plenty of nearby places to get a pick up or delivery order. They show football games during the weekend and the crowd is always friendly. A perfect place for family, including pets. They also have games if you or your children don’t care about the sports. Definitely a great place to visit.

Stopped by for our first visit and was very impressed with Whistle Stop! Fantastic atmosphere, awesome beer selection, and Scott (the owner) was very knowledgeable about all the selections and was super friendly. A great place to go if you’re anywhere near Opelika and enjoy great craft beers. Highly recommend.

A really cute spot in downtown Opelika. They have a huge variety of beer collection that keeps changing often. There were some really good Belgian beer and I was excited about it. The ambience was really good plenty of place to sit.

It was my first time going during food truck Friday because we were waiting in line for a food truck. I love beer so I always try something new when I go there. They allowed me and my friends to sample the options so that was helpful when trying to make a decision. I’ll definitely be back whenever I’m downtown off the clock.
