I had an amazing experience dining in at Nick’s Pizza DC! The owner Nick, is my former Sergeant in the Virginia Army National Guard. He was an exceptional leader and all around nice guy. I loved seeing his leadership skills translate into his customer service skills. If you ever get to meet him, trust me your life will be better for it, he’ll put a smile on your face! The exterior and interior design on the restaurant were amazing as well, and gave off such a good vibe. As for the pizza, it was amazing! Coming from a Jersey girl who knows her pizza, I will say it was exceptional! The crust was amazing (no flop), the sauce has the perfect amount of sweetness without being overly sweet, and they use premium pepperoni and it was delicious! I will definitely be back when I come through DC and I will be brining more people. Can’t recommend this place enough!

I got to experience Nick’s Pizza at Full Distance Brewery. They created my pepperoni pizza in the Wood-Fired oven outside while it was lightly snowing. My pizza was delivered to my table, hot and delicious… along with those oh so good pepperoni cups on top.

Nick’s pizza is amazing. The pepperoni pizza is my favorite. The sauce is seasoned, with a delicious crust and you actually get a pizza covered with pepperoni (which is not the case most places in DC). I also love the Italian Hero. I grew up in an Italian area and really miss the food and deli style sandwiches that places in DC don’t make, except for Nick’s! In DC proper, you can’t get a better Italian sub: toasted bread, seasoned, loaded with meat and peppers, chef’s kiss! I’ve only ordered carry out so far and it always travels well.

When my fiancée and I came in, our order was ready for pick-up right away. The pizza was still hot, so we really enjoyed the ‘Heavy Hitter’ without sausage. It wasn’t too greasy, which we loved, and the texture was both moist and crunchy. The staff were super friendly, and the ambiance was relaxed and quiet.

I tried Nick’s for the first time tonight after following their socials for some time. What a treat! Nick is so welcoming and a genuinely nice person.
I had the Kicker (pepperoni, jalapeños and pineapple) and it was easily the best pizza I’ve had in DC! No frills, just well made pizza. The crust, the cheese, the toppings, all fresh and delicious. I’ll definitely be eating here on a regular basis!

Nick’s Pizza is the answer to authentic homemade pizza when you can’t make your own! It’s the freshest ingredients and the perfect crust – not too thick or thin. I highly recommend giving this locally owned pizza a try – you will NOT be disappointed!!!! I also have to mention that Nick is an awesome guy!

Pizza is pretty decent, not mind blowing, but usually pretty consistently good! Yesterday though I had a bit of a three star experience so I’m average to four. I had ordered and paid for a seven dollar jumbo hotdog and a cheese pizza pizza with pineapple on it. When I got there, the pizza was ready, but the guy at the counter said they no longer serve hotdogs. I wish they had called me to tell me this since I would have gotten pepperoni on my pizza for meat. He did offer to refund me but sort of pushed me to get fries instead, but fries are only four bucks, and I spent seven on the hotdog. He did seem like a genuinely nice guy so maybe he just didn’t realize the price discrepancy, but I just asked for a refund which he did give. When I got home, I realized that my cheese pizza only had pineapple on 2/3 of the slices and it was very sparingly placed, only like 2 to 3 pieces of pineapple per slice. So I was pretty disappointed. I’ll try them again since in the past they’ve been better. They also don’t regularly have ice on hand in my experience, which is sort of a bummer because I usually want a cup of ice with my soda. But I do think Nic seems like a good guy and so I want them to succeed.

Walking into Nick’s Pizza DC feels like stepping into a true neighborhood spot, comfortable, welcoming, and completely unpretentious.
I sat with Nick yesterday and tried the Loaded Pepperoni and the Chicken Tikka Masala pizzas, and both were very good. The pepperoni hit all the right classic notes, while the tikka masala was a standout, bringing bold, well-balanced flavors you don’t often see done this well on a pizza.
Nick’s is a spot you’d happily return to, or order from again! A true neighborhood favorite with roots in the community!

The best pizza I’ve tried, the touch that the wood oven gives it has no comparison and the freshness of its ingredients give it that extra plus and the personal attention of the owner and that of all the boys make you feel at home definitely the best in DC
