What a fun and cute little place! One of the best burgers I’ve ever had! The owners were very attentive to everyone, and we loved learning about the bank vault! We honestly were only stopping for a quick bite, but enjoyed ourselves so much, we stayed for over and hour listening to music, learning about the town, and having a super flavorful milkshake! Yum! Will definitely be back anytime we travel through!

During our exploration, we stumbled upon a remarkable restaurant that left a lasting impression. As avid foodies, we highly recommend this gem. The menu showcased an impressive array of fresh and innovative dishes, each of which exceeded our expectations. From the pizza and tacos to the desserts, every option was outstanding. The Pulled Pork Taco with slaw and Street Taco stood out for their exceptional freshness and unique flavor combinations. We wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to fellow food enthusiasts. Our experience at Caboose Burgers was truly exceptional. The presentation of each dish was visually stunning, the atmosphere was lively and relaxing, and the service was top-notch. Eddie and his staff are exceptional hosts. This restaurant offers a culinary experience that is second to none, with outstanding service and atmosphere. Whether you’re just passing through or staying for an extended period, we highly recommend a visit for a memorable meal, be it breakfast, lunch, or dinner. If possible, we would have awarded a perfect 10-star rating.

So excited for a new place in town, we come up about once a year and the food here was delicious, they have an amazing selection of sweet drinks I had the Nutty which is a root beer float with butter pecan ice cream and whip cream and the monster mozzarella sticks which you could tell were handmade with super creamy cheese and delicious marinate. My husband got the bacon burger with a nicely seasoned handmade patty and the lemonaid. We really enjoyed our lunch here and will probably come back as the chef was making some homemade red chili for a dinner special.

Super cute, quaint stop for lunch. Staff was attentive. The stovetop lemonade and milkshake were top notch. We ordered the kitchen sink french bread pizza which was fantastic. The vegetables all added a fresh taste and the meats added so much flavor. Definitely enough for 2 people to share.

I don’t know where to start with this review except to say that if you’re scrolling through restaurants in this area and come across this place, just stop and visit because this is honestly what you want anyway from atmosphere to food and everything in between.

I ended up here on a whim when a friend and I just got too hungry on a random drive. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with excitement because all the food is locally sourced, and they had just gotten a tray of mushrooms dropped off. I have never seen someone so genuinely excited about mushrooms before! Naturally, we ordered the spinach mushroom dip appetizer. It was amazing. I would certainly enjoy it again!

We also ordered a burger, which came looking exactly like the photos already posted. The slice of tomato was legit and not a weenie slice, the bun was perfect, and the burger was thick and something you’d make for yourself in your own house.

Actually, that was the prevailing feeling – that we had walked into our friend’s house who loves to cook and now we had to eat everything they make but we don’t mind because everything they make is delicious. We really did feel like it was like visiting a friend’s house.

We also enjoyed the potato salad as a side with the burger. It was delicious. We also ordered a side of the cucumber salad because we couldn’t decide. The cucumber salad was perfect. The crunch of the cucumbers stayed even 2 days later when we ate the leftovers we had taken with us, which just goes to show how fresh the owners make everything.

We also ordered the bread pizza, which was amazing. The bread is perfect and the cheese was a perfect balance. We had black olives, which tasted super fresh and not sour like canned olives. So good. We couldn’t eat all of the pizza at the time but had it as leftovers 2 days later – still perfection.

I also really enjoyed the lemonade, and I’m looking forward to trying the strawberry version next time.

I overwhemingly enjoyed every aspect of my visit here. I am very much looking forward to my next visit. Even writing this review is making me hungry, and now I’m thinking about a quick drive up there.

Trust me, visit this place because you won’t be disappointed.

First timers and we had the appetizers and a couple of floats, delicious! Will eat there again and try the breakfast.

They are in a hotel and the building is so unique – pretty cool. Staff was nice and welcoming. We drove over an hour to get there and it was well worth it. It will be our weekend ritual for sure.

Stopped for an ice cream shake but discovered a diverse & exciting menu- got a spicy Hawaiian burger-scrmptious spiciness & huge ! 1/2 my burger came home w/me for dinner-the strawberry shake was delicious. Loved the location in old hotel, 1909 bank vault, & all the colorful local history that Q shared w/me. Quick & attentive service-will be back soon!

From the moment we arrived and were given a warm welcome, we knew we had made the right decision to stop here on the way through to Salida. Ambience was lovely, great selection of food, shakes and floats. Q was a fantastic host, kindly sharing the history of the building over the years. Don’t miss checking out the bank vault, added bonus for me.
Back to the food, you will not be disappointed. We will definitely be stopping there again.

Awesome gem for us evening travelers on 285. Burgers and shakes were bomb, owners were super welcoming and just plain fun to hang out with. The old hotel building has a lot of cool history they’re happy to share with you. We found them on accident, but will definately make a point to stop next time we’re driving through.

My family and I recently dined at Caboose Burgers on Main Street in Antonito, Colorado, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The restaurant’s commitment to quality is evident in their handmade, homemade offerings and unique recipes. All their ingredients are locally sourced, which really enhances the freshness and flavor of each dish. The hand-grated cheese and hand-pressed burgers truly set their sandwiches apart, and the burger was cooked to perfection. The fresh sliced produce, including the super crispy lettuce, added a vibrant crunch to every bite.

We were excited to try the hatch Chile burger, but unfortunately, they were out of it during our visit. Additionally, we couldn’t order their in-house pickles as they were also out. Despite these minor setbacks, everything else was fantastic. The house-made green and red chili brought a flavorful kick, and the scratch-made desserts were the perfect sweet ending. The stovetop-simmered lemonade was refreshing and perfectly balanced. The root beer floats were absolutely delicious—rich, creamy, and truly satisfying.

One of the highlights was seeing the historic charm of the place—Caboose Burgers has preserved the original bank vault inside the establishment, which they were more than happy to show us. It provided a fascinating glimpse into the history of the building, and the staff kindly shared some insights about its past, adding a special touch to our visit.

The staff, Q and Eddie, went above and beyond, providing warm, friendly service that made our family feel right at home. They made our high school graduation dinner extra special, and we appreciated their attentive care.

Overall, despite the availability issues, our experience was excellent, and we’re eager to return soon to give Caboose Burgers another shot at redemption. Highly recommended for anyone passing through Antonito!
