THIS Chinese Restaurant needs to GET OUT of Maquoketa! Tried ordering a large order for my whole family ($70) and the food was done within 5 MINUTES! Hence:: the food was WAYYYY UNDERCOOKED! I tried going back in to ask to have the food cooked longer and was called a “crazy person” and all of a sudden the guy couldn’t speak English
I had my toddler with me so I was NOT about to cause a scene, but I was more taken aback on why I was getting ridiculed. I asked to speak to a manager and he just kept telling me to “GO AWAY”.. He threatened to call the cops on me so I did him a favor and called them first because he was NOT trying to make our experience right and we couldn’t eat raw meat.
The Police show up and although he didnt enjoy Chinese food, he could even tell that the meat was NOT SAFELY COOKED.
It took calling the police to even talk with this guy. He said he would remake our food so Im like Awesome!! But then he REFUSED to do that and FINALLY canceled our order and gave a refund. (After he wanted to see me throw the food away, which I GLADLY did!)

Definitely leaving one star for this place. I called to make a pick up order. & the guy didn’t seem to speak much English. But I asked for beef n broccoli with mushrooms. & he thought I wanted to order a whole thing of mushrooms. Like no, I want it WITH the beef & broccoli. He tried to read back my order. I nicely explained that’s not what I want. I mean it’s just mushrooms; but I’m on my monthly & I wanted mushrooms. The dude HUNG UP ON ME. Yeah no, I just ordered from the one across town. They seem very rude. Sorry my order was hard to understand. But this is your business. Just add the dang mushrooms.

I have to say I was a little Leary to try this place because of the negative reviews but the food was amazing. It was hot and the vegetables were done perfectly. We also had shrimp egg rolls and they were very delicious

I was visiting for a dog show and all of the restaurants in the area were serving fried food that I don’t eat . I decided to to eat Chinese and it was the worse Chinese food I ever had .
Egg roll was a spring roll, For the very first time I ate how & sour soup with celery and carrots in it and partially cooked in top of the fact that it tasted like fake chicken bullion chemicals.
Vegetable LO main had the same salty chemicals whatever it was and it was extremely salty to the point that I couldn’t eat it .

Had the tofu & broccoli in brown sauce. Pretty basic/average Chinese food. We were one of two tables in there, and they were very quick to get the food out. Had their young kids serving & cleaning up after us. Never once spoke to an adult.

We gave them another try the prices where high and our sesame chicken was so soggy. Great Wall has been a much better experience. You know what to expect from them. They have always been here!!! Very town friendly. Great Wall is the place to eat

Food was good but way too expensive for what it was, we had sesame chicken, general tso chicken, and crab Rangoon and it was $50. We were also disappointed we weren’t able to eat inside after we walked there.

After our last take out order we said we would not be eating from there again but decided to give it another try. Couldn’t get chicken and broccoli because they were out of broccoli. Decided to go with chicken and mushrooms, sweet &sour chicken, chicken lo mein and crab Rangoon. It was worse than the last time! No flavor at all. The sweet & sour chicken wasn’t too bad but everything else was awful! The crab Rangoon was chewy and there wasn’t hardly anything inside it. Spent $50 and will not make that mistake again. We will definitely not be ordering again!

Good food, fast service. Ordering online is very easy, but be aware that when you pay the tip online, that the receipt they give you does have the tip already figured into the total but doesn’t show that. Then there is a blank spot on their receipt for a tip right above the place you sign. So if you don’t pay attention you will tip twice.

Stayed in town for the night and decided to try this place out for dinner. As soon as you walk in through the door, the atmosphere is welcoming. The server was very friendly. I ordered the beef and broccoli, the food was amazing – some of the best Chinese I’ve had. All the food was fresh and yummy. I will be coming back here if I get the chance.
