I have called like 3 days in a row hoping to get some food and to my surprise the phone keeps ringing… Then when I walk down in the -12 weather only to find out your closed….

Restaurant is located in a very nice place, the view from patio is amazing. If you go there, definitely choose a table on the patio. Also, be ready to wait for a while until you get your food as it is always crowded there. The food was just okay, I would say it’s overpriced. Service was okay as well. Mostly, you pay for the view there.

I had an incredibly humiliating experience at this restaurant. Five of us—Asian tourists—walked in after a day of exploring the island, looking forward to enjoying a nice meal. As we waited to be seated, two staff members walked right past us without acknowledging our presence. We gave them the benefit of the doubt, assuming they might be busy attending to other guests and would get to us shortly.
But minutes passed. Not a single staff member approached us—not even to ask us to wait. Eventually, we stepped outside, unsure of what to do. Just then, we saw a group of white diners enter the restaurant. From where we stood by the door, we watched as a staff member immediately greeted them and showed them to a table.
Thinking this meant they were now accommodating guests, we walked back in—only to be met with the same cold treatment. No greeting. No acknowledgment. One staff member walked right past us again, acting as if we didn’t exist. Soon after, more diners arrived and began waiting to be seated. And once again, the staff began assisting the white customers behind us, completely ignoring us.
One moment that struck me deeply was when a staff member made direct eye contact with me—only to proceed to speak with the group behind us, as though we were invisible.
I never imagined such blatant racism would greet us on this trip. It was a deeply upsetting and unforgettable experience—one that has completely tainted our impression of this island. I will never return.

The food was great and outdoor atmosphere was relaxing but the service was lacking. We never got asked for a drink refills. Food took over 45 mins to arrive at our table even though it was small starters we ordered. One person’s food didn’t show up until everyone else was almost done theirs. We asked for a to-go container and we received attitude. When asked for the bill (we had to seek our waitress) she said with even more attitude that we can pay at the front. When paying she dismissed all of our attempts at conversation and was basically pushing us out the door. Service has gone down hill over the years. Like I said, foods good and outdoor atmosphere is nice but wouldn’t be back because of the service.

The food here has always been excellent. Their fish is cooked to perfection, always fresh crispy fries and delicious Cole slaw. Their other menu items match in quality and taste.
The only issue we had on our last visit. 4 of us ate and all ordered food. We all had coffee with our meals. We all had at least a 2nd cup, with 3 of us having a third. We were billed for each extra coffee for a total of $15 extra. It’s not about how much extra or even the fact we got billed for the extra coffee. It’s that there was never any mention that they bill for each additional coffee even when ordering food. There is nothing written on the menu. The waitress didn’t bother to mention it either.
We made no fuss and paid the bill as is. But it did rub us the wrong way. It’s understandable in today’s world, but at 2.75, a cup for very small coffee cups. It’s a sticking point for sure.

Awesome service. Quaint atmosphere sits you right beside the water. Food was fast and excellent tho I’d recommend cooking the fries a bit longer. Aside from that I have no complaints about here. Awesome visit. Especially if you love nature walking past you while you eat. Deer everywhere. It doesn’t get better than here.

The English Style Fish and chips wasn’t what I was expecting (beer battered fish) but it was delicious none the less. Then an ask of what was available for dessert … cinnamon roll cheesecake? 2 of my favourites in 1? It was over the moon! I couldn’t finish it at the restaurant but it was the best bedtime snack I’ve ever had!
