If you are a fan of anchovies, you will love their Caesar salad with some nice fat, fresh one. For our entrees, my father and I split the waygu beef and the special risotto (truffle mushroom) with scallops. My mother got the risotto as well, my sister the sole stuffed with lobster stuffing, my wife the fillet, and a cassoulet to split for the table. Everything was absolutely delicious. The steaks had a beautiful char to them with great flavor. The risotto was nice and creamy without being too cheesy, and I highly recommend the scallops with them. While the wagyu was easily better, the fillet still had amazing flavor and a wonderful crust. The wagyu being served with a full head of roasted garlic was just the perfect touch. The show stopper ended up being the cassoulet for us. Our family loves beans, so this dish was an easy yes and why we had to order one for the table. It was so flavorful, but not too rich.
I wish we knew this place sooner and we will definitely be back again.
Every dish had me nodding in approval and wanting another bite. The bacon-wrapped dates are an automatic favorite: creamy dates with salty crunchy bacon, drizzled with a sweet glaze. I wish there were more than 4 to a plate.
I usually only get steak at steakhouses, so I was skeptical, but ordered the filet anyway….Two big thumbs up on that decision! It was cooked to a perfect medium. Tender, easy to cut, not chewy or fatty. The salt seasoning and char took the taste to another level. I love that char grilled taste! The accompanying mushrooms were sautéed perfectly. Thinly sliced to cut down on the thick, meaty chewy texture. Easy added to every bite of steak, without distracting from its flavor. The potatoes dollops rounded out the plate perfectly.
The friend’s halibut was light and bright. Not over cooked. The crunchy covering with a hint of citrus added a bang of Spring flavor to the dish. The fish was flanked by 2 potato-onion mini ‘muffins’. They had a beautiful crunchy outside with a warm creamy inside, and a hint of soft, well-sautéed onions. Very tasty. The vegetable s on both entrees were well done and well seasoned.
Scrolling through their menu, I can’t wait to try their other dishes. I’m sure I will be pleasantly surprised. Definitely worth a return visit!
