First time visiting while driving through, late afternoon so the place was not crowded. Parra’s Grill serves a mix of Tex-Mex and southern boy comfort food – and they seem to do it very well. We ordered their Mexican Plate and the Frito Pie with a regular size onion rings for a side. The onion rings, salsa, tostada shells, chips, taco shells – all made in house. The Frito Pie was great, the Mexican Plate was tasty, and the house made rings were perfect. Service was good. The restaurant reminded me of cafes and restaurants I visited in the 60’s and 70’s. The restaurant was clean, the restrooms were clean. Everything about Parra’s Grill was a pleasant surprise. Glad we took the opportunity to stop by.

We regularly travel from Salado Tx to Edna Tx and decided today to stop in Gonzales for lunch. We found Parras online and decided to give it a try. I had the chicken fried steak dinner and my wife had the fried fish and shrimp. Both dishes were fantastic. Service was fast and friendly and the prices were extremely reasonable. We will definitely be back!!!

Everything from the food the service and prices are great!-longer hours of operation now with new ownership. Prices are great, food served with a smile and a nice variety of American and Mexican food to choose from. One thing for sure, I use to go to dairy Queen for my steak finger basket, but not anymore. Right here at Parras grill and catering they have the best steak fingers in town hands down. IMO. Not only that the fish basket is fantastic. Thank y’all for such great food and such friendly service! Everytime we go everyone is always super nice but more importantly the food is superb!!

Visiting from out of town and looking for a good non-chain place to eat. Had lunch here with the family and loved it! Everyone ordered something different, so I got a chance to sample a lot. Hamburger steak, enchiladas, chicken tenders, even the kids’ burgers were amazing!

Came awhile back and had a baked potato that I thought was nasty, the cheese they used tasted gross. Decided to try them again today and was impressed with their burgers and sandwiches. I love their onion rings, they are a must try when you come here! they’re very quick with getting food out. Idk what happened the first visit with the gross cheese but I’m glad I tried this place again
