The last time I went to Ho Choi (probably late 22/early 23) I was so disappointed. The food had declined so sharply since when I started getting their food 9 years before. The thing that pissed me off was I had a fried dumpling craving and they had the nerve to give me frozen potstickers. Something was off, and I vowed to never go back.
Over the years the food was always fresh and never gave me any kind of stomach discomfort so I figured now might be time to try them again. I googled and saw reviews and recent pictures, the food looked better and people have had nothing but positive things to say and it even looks like a manager or someone cares enough to respond to the reviews.
They clearly did some kind of overhaul, everything was delicious. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is the pieces of chicken in the gen tso’s were a little small. Before the pieces were bigger but half would be inedible pieces of skin or tendon. Other places have too much breading or low quality chicken. You guys almost have it just right. The H&S soup is delicious and a damn good egg roll. Looking forward to coming back and retrying old favs now that you clearly have better chefs etc. While my review is 4 stars I would give the new and improved Ho Choi a 4.4 or a 4.5.

I ordered shrimp egg foo young, brown rice and a package of fried noodles.
The 1st patty had 2 very tiny pieces of what was fake shrimp. It made me so nauseous that I couldn’t eat any more. The 2nd patty obviously trashed.The brown rice was good, The 75 cents crunchy noodles were in a package smaller than the palm of my petite hand and were stale.
Serve-The young lady behind the counter was aggressive when I questioned the 75 cents charge for such a small portion of noodles.
The place does not look clean or inviting.

Food was hot and good. It’s directly next to the 7-11, which can make it a little hard to see from the left side view. They had a steady stream of customers coming in at lunchtime and the phone was ringing with orders. I got my food to go and even after driving back to my office for 10 minutes, it was still plenty hot. $6 to $7 for a lunch special with an egg roll isn’t bad. It was a good amount of food for the money. I liked the sign inside which I imagine is to deal with pan handling.

My husband and I have been going to ho choi for over 15 years. The first ten years was great. Never had any complaints about the food. I would say since 2019 it has been a hit or miss. The ribs had been less meat on the bones or burnt but they always corrected the issue. The only problem i have with their ribs is when you order the large spareribs with the bone, you have to put the sauce on it yourself. It takes up time with me having to brush sauce on ribs and the food gets cold. I do wish they go back to putting it in the red and white bag like they use too with the sauce. The rice also was a little more hard and bland sometimes. But this time, I ordered the pork fried rice and asked them to add fried or scrambled eggs to it. That was the best fried rice I had from them in a long time. The rice was well seasoned and moist. Not dry at all. I ordered small ribs. That was good too. They do have the best ribs in the area. Their fried wings are good too, when it’s fresh and not fried too hard. This is my go to restaurant most of the time. Prices are reasonable. I would recommend to anyone.

I was food poisoned on Wendsday 7/10/24 and hadn’t eaten there in a while. I’ll never go back after being sick as a dog. I had to miss work and a meeting the following day. Never again.

We love Ho Choi, we have been ordering from them over 20 years, all their food is always hot, fresh and tasty. The best shrimp and broccoli I’ve had from anywhere the shrimp are nice and fat and fluffy and crunchy fresh broccoli! And their noodles are always delicious. And they have the best wonton soup with fat dumplings and rich tasty broth! They are very generous with portion sizes also. And if you are dieting or eating low carb they have lovely steamed/diet choices with sauce on the side, great place for everything!

Have been ordering from My Kitchen for 6 years. Tried a few different ones in the area recently. They were terrible. Tried Ho Choi tonight after a few reviews. Awesome!!!! We ordered the Sesame Chicken, eggrolls, pork fried rice, and white rice. It was delicious!!! I recommend this place!!
