I noticed a new authentic mexican resteraunt pop up here on the west side of town near where i live. I used to love renees, but the long lines, wait times and some times inconsistant food kind of turned me off from them, so i have been hunting for somewhere else to take that empty void for me.
So today I decided to give Mexican Burritos a try. I came through drive through and made my order. The attendant was very patient and knowledgable about their food, even though they just opened. I ordered an adobada (marinated pork) street soft taco and a carne asada (seasoned steak) soft street taco. I also ordered a chicken taco salad and a cheese quesadilla. The total was about $24.
As i pulled up, a gentleman named Daniel took my card and paid. I forgot to ask if i could have a sour cream on the side, so i asked Daniel and he said its normally $1 extra but they would do it for me this time. I was willing to pay again, but i really appreciated that they did that for me. I came at about 12:55pm on a Tuesday with only one person in the drive through in front of me and left about 1:00pm so it only took about 5 minutes. Great speed and service overall.
Once i got home, all the food was still hot. The tacos both had excellent taste, however the carne asada was slightly more chewy than i expected. The Adobada meat was very tasty. The chicken taco salad was good. Chicken tasted good, however i was suprised because i have had taco salads from other places here in Wichita that pile it a little bit higher. Was simply some beans, chicken, lettuce and cheese. I will say that the shell was amazing, light and flaky but crisp and delicious. The Cheese quesadillas tasted great (my wifes review). And i love red sauce for the spice, so i asked for extra. They did give extra to me, which im thankful for, but the sauce was a little inconsistant. Some were spicy, just how i like it and others were more watery and less spicy. So i got 2 good ones out of 6 given.
Carne Asada Taco 4/5
Adobada Taco 5/5
Chicken Taco salad 4/5
Cheese quesadilla 5/5.
Service 5/5
Can’t wait to go back and try more things!

Definitely a cozy hole in the wall serving tasty Mexican food. The rice and beans are on point. The Carne Asada burrito is delicious. The Chorizo plate has a medium spice. The crunchy shredded beef tacos are fried light and packed with flavor. They have a large option of drinks. The dining room has four tables, a fountain soda dispenser, an enclosed trash can and a unisex bathroom. Its definitely cozy. The place looks great inside and out. I spoke with other diners and they said the Hot Cheetos fries were delicious.

Tiny dining area. People behind the counter are very friendly and good bilingual skills.

I ordered the ground beef burrito and beef and cheese enchilada. It comes with rice and beans. It was good. I didn’t feel like they knocked it out the park, I would try again and maybe get something with a little more kick. The beef and cheese enchilada was missing the beef so it also was just ok. My wife ordered the shredded beef burrito but hers had shredded chicken on it, so they had to remake hers. Overall the food was just ok and the service was just ok.

We tried for the first time today and I can say I was pleasantly surprised. Fried flour tortillas are my favorite and this place was on point with them. We will be back

Food is average. Nothing that I would drive out of the way for again. An item was forgotten so had to drive back. Probably won’t return.

I missed this place so much and didn’t hear about them reopening so when I passed them getting off the highway I KNEW I had to stop in!!! The food is as absolutely amazing as ever, great atmosphere and customer service. Also, just so happened to come back when I’m hitting my second trimester of pregnancy… I’m about to eat way too much of this stuff!!!! Best Mexican food in Kansas!!!!

I have been supporting this business since the day it opened. I too worked the service industry, I get being new and mistakes will happen. I do NOT eat pork. I ask for the pot, egg & chz burrito yet I still find bits of ham or bacon in them. Not once have I retuned to complain, I just pick it out or throw what I won’t eat away. Today was my final straw when I came to order x1 ground crunchy beef taco, and x1 Colorado burrito. Colorado has carne, pico and potatoes. I left once just to come back with my receipt in hand, told the girl I ordered a Colorado and was given a ground beef. I had already taken these items home, and left the taco at home to return the burrito. The girl asked me if I received my taco? I replied with yes I just need the burrito fix. I don’t want ground beef. I want the Carne Asada on it. She then again hand me another burrito that I take home cut it in half to find that it’s a chorizo and egg. I then again return to have them fix it and the girl tried to tell me I said something else I said I handed you my receipt which you kept and you saw on the receipt that it said one Colorado burrito and one ground beef, crunchy taco. When I had returned the first burrito, I heard them call out to another customer chorizo and egg. From which the girl removed the bag off of the counter, realizing that it was the wrong burrito she was about to hand out, so they handed it out through the drive-through window. When I got home, I cut it in half as well to find out She handed me the wrong burrito again. I then again returned for a very small apology from the girl. Not once was I offered any of my money back nor was I offered any type of free drink. I spent more money in gas returning multiple times than it would have cost them for a styrofoam cup with a fountain drink. The Colorado is their best burrito which is why I have returned many times. At $10 for one burrito I think I have spent my fair share of money to help support them at least x3 a week.
