Perched near the summit of Mount Rosebrook, within New Hampshire’s White Mountains, Rosebrook Lodge is truly a hidden gem. There is only one way to get to the Lodge and that is by taking the Bretton Woods Skyway Gondola.
Northeast foliage in early October is stunning to say the least and the views during the 12 minute Gondola ride, from base lodge to summit, had me considering the purchase of a season pass. (I may have impulse control issues).
The panoramic advantage at 3000 feet was breathtaking, a beautiful location for a memorable experience. Rosebrook Lodge has an upscale and charming atmosphere with architectural details that are impressive.
Within the Lodge is the Switchback Grille, serving everything from lattes and martinis to salads and burgers. There is enough variety at this small restaurant to satisfy most visitors and if not, maybe double up on the drinks, which were to perfection and delivered by a cheerful, attentive staff.
I decided to keep my lunch simple and ordered the grilled cheese with tomato bisque soup, quintessential comfort food. The surprise here was that my meal was anything but simple. It was absolutely delicious.
I left Rosebrook Lodge feeling satisfied, not just from a culinary perspective, but from a naturalists perspective as well. This is worth the visit.

It’s not just for ski season. The gondola ride is really fun and the restaurant and grounds are amazing. Some nice hiking trails that are well marked. Good and service was top notch. Every single employee was extremely nice

Beautiful lodge on Bretton Woods. Took the very smooth 6 passenger gondola ride up, had a great lunch and the views were incredible! Limited menu and definitely on the fancier side but good food. Glad it’s open for summers as a non skier like myself wouldn’t get to see it otherwise. A great and unique experience.

Stopped in for a quick lunch in the food court area. We had a buffalo chicken sandwich with fries, it was very good. Plenty of above average choices that are made to order. They had a great selection of made to order pizzas that looked very tasty. The food is pricey but a notch above standard lodge food. The views are killer! Stop in even for hot cocoa. The full service restaurant had a nice menu and a full bar.

Fantastic food, so much flavor. We got the white mountain charcuterie board $22 and white mushroom toast $18. Holy cannoli I was in heaven. You can’t beat the view of Mt Washington. The only down fall is the mixed drinks. I got a margarita and it’s was awful and overpriced. So stick to beer or get it on the rocks.

Weather was perfect, the view! Wow! We took the gondola up to the lodge. Breathtaking and food? Wow delicious and the drinks were were a perfect mix. KUDOS to the lunch crew. If you ever in Bretton Woods, make sure you pay this place a visit. Busy all through but I think way busier during winter.

The Rosebrook Lodge is a brand new absolutely beautiful lodge at the top of Bretton Woods ski resort. We rode the gondola up to the top of the mountain, ate at the Switchback Grille, then hiked to the bottom of the mountain. The service, decor, and food at the restaurant was outstanding. We were told that during the winter the Rosebrook Lodge gets packed, that doesn’t surprise me!

Great summertime lunch spot – take the gondola up (requires a ticket but our kids loved the ride), and have a great casual lunch with spectacular views. Try the French 75 cocktail for extra refreshment!

The new Rosebrook Lodge is a beautiful facility with sweeping views of the valley and Mt. Washington. It has public restrooms, two restaurants- Switchback Grille and Crystal Hills – and a small cafe called Peaks Cafe. In addition to during ski season it’s open during the summer for daytime dining when the scenic gondola is running. Check the Bretton Woods website to verify current hours before counting on anything being open.
