Stopped here on a long drive, super cute spot! My husband got a pastry and said it was fresh and delicious. The American and the latte were great too.

Wonderful spot, FABULOUS pastry, excellent espresso. The layers of perfection! OH. MY. GOSH! The tart was perfect, lemon curd custard with a delicate flaky shortbread crust. Well done

One of the best Cheese Danish I have had. Perfect sweetness and the cooked to perfection with a slight crunch and flakiness.

Seriously, a top 3 bakery experience I’ve ever had. The pastries are unbelievably good AND they have good coffee and espresso. Can’t recommend highly enough. Get there early or you’re unlikely to get your pick of the litter because everyone wants some of this.

What an adorable gem! We had the lemon twist, bread pudding, cinnamon roll, and nectarine pastry. All amazing but the lemon was top tier! I also had the best iced chai ❤️ Worth the stop if you’re coming through! (Also, our son is named Wilder so it made a great photo op).

Wilder bakeshop has the most amazing pastries. The quiche is fabulous. The coffee is fantastic. Basically, you need to eat here. *chef’s kiss*

Excellent coffee shop in Chama! I would suggest coming here for any of their coffee drinks or pastries. Affordable pricing too, compared to other shops in town/surrounding areas. We got the vanilla lattes and pumpkin bread and it was so delicious! The menus are simple for coffee, makes your choices bit easier. And the bakery items are freshly made each day. Give them a try!

I am very sad. I have been living 20 minutes from this shop for a year and a half and I just discovered this treasure. I am sad because I am moving back to the East Coast and had the opportunity to enjoy this place as a regular, but I’ll have to live with having gone just once. I had a green chili quiche – not long after opening, so it was still nice and warm. The filling was great, but the crust was outstanding. I had a croissant – buttery, flaky, light, and very tasty. I also had a sticky roll – the sugary sauce was delicious, the roll had a perfect chew. And one more – I am not sure what it was called, but it was in the shape of a piece of thick bread with blueberries all over and I suppose a custard type texture. The corners were chewy and scrumptious and the middle was velvety and rich. Also, the coffee was great – I just had a black drip, but they have a serious espresso machine as well.
This will remain a lovely memory of what a bakery and coffee shop should be. The Platonic Ideal can be found in Chama, NM.

Amazing Green Chile Quiche and Bread Pudding Pastery, but the unexpected star find was the asparagus, goat cheese, lemon zest croissant – totally stole the show, which a great savory combination

I was able to stop here on my way to work and the pastries are so good! I tried on with pecans and a glaze and it was sweet, pillowy and the chopped pecans added a nice crunchy texture. They didn’t have regular coffee due I to something with the town water so I went with a white chocolate mocha and a caramel latte. While the caramel latte was underwhelming, the mocha was sweet and amazing on this chilly rainy day. They had a bunch more pastries so for next time that’ll be a stop for something sweet!
