Tandoori Wings is an absolute gem if you’re looking for incredible Indian and Nepalese cuisine. From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The atmosphere is cozy and quaint, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal without feeling rushed.

The menu is impressively diverse with tons of options, whether you’re craving classic Indian dishes, Nepalese specialties, or something new to try. Everything we ordered was packed with flavor and clearly made with care. You can tell the kitchen knows exactly what they’re doing.

One friendly warning: respect the spice scale! I ordered spice level 5 thinking I could handle it. The flavor was amazing, but let’s just say I was sweating like I’d just run a marathon in July. Totally worth it though.

If you’re in the area and want delicious food, great service, and a comfortable atmosphere, Tandoori Wings is definitely worth a visit. I’ll absolutely be back—maybe next time at spice level 4!

The food is amazing! We had the chicken and vegetable steamed dumplings to start. Chicken curry and chicken chow mein for entrees. Service is wonderful. They take a lot of pride in preparation of their food!

I recently visited Tandoori Wings at 5628 Bardstown Rd in Louisville, KY, and was very impressed. From the moment I walked in, the owner greeted me with warmth and friendliness — it felt more like visiting a friend’s home than dining out. The atmosphere is casual, clean, and comfortable, with lovely Indian-spiced aromas filling the air.

Their menu reflects a thoughtful approach to ingredients: everything is made fresh, and I was pleased to learn (upon asking) that they add no artificial color to any of their dishes. That commitment shows in the food — the natural herbs and spices shine through, and there’s none of the overly bright red or orange you sometimes see in “tandoori” style wings elsewhere.

I tried their signature wings and was delighted. The marinade had a lively depth of flavor—char-smoke, tang, a balanced heat—and the wings themselves were juicy, well-grilled and satisfying. Portions were generous, and service was attentive without being overbearing.

Overall, Tandoori Wings is a gem for anyone craving authentic, straightforward Indian flavor in Louisville. Friendly staff, honest cooking, and great flavor—highly recommend!

Amazing!!! Loved the lollipop chicken, garlic naan, and chicken tikka masala. Highly recommend mango lassi and Thai tea as well. We went for lunch and the restaurant was super neat and quiet. Will be back next time we’re in Louisville!

A gem of Louisville…. MUST GO!!!
If you enjoy an authentic flavored meal this is the place. Clean and fresh atmosphere, friendly and inviting service. The chef/Owner knows his flavor layering and grinds his own spices for the freshest most robust flavors. The sauce work is delicious and deep. We had the spicy wings with lemon, they were charred in the Tandoori oven and obviously marinated. Super flavor all the way to the bone. Next we had the Lamb Vindaloo, tender and aromatic with layered cinnamon, cardamom and Masala flavors. The potato in the dish held the flavor incredibly well and pillow soft. Next was the Tandoori chicken, again it was marinated and charred to perfection, just a superb dish. And last but definitely not least was the pillow soft Garlic Naan, cilantro and garlic flavors all about.
This was the best meal we had in Louisville by far. If you want to go to flavor town you need to board this train.
Sincerely your friends from Florida, Brian and Geeta

WOW! We had the most incredible Wednesday dinner at this hidden gem of an Indian restaurant. Every dish was prepared fresh to order, and the flavors were out of this world. The okra blew us away—something we’ve never had at an Indian spot before—and it was absolutely delicious. The samosas were hands-down the best we’ve ever had. The chicken was so tender, every bite was perfect. The service was amazing—attentive and warm. Plus, the atmosphere was comfortable, and the prices were very reasonable. We’ve tried many Indian restaurants in Louisville and beyond, but this one stands out. Truly the best Indian spot we’ve been to—we’ll definitely be back! Can’t recommend highly enough.

The most flavorful tandoori chicken I have ever had.

We have ate at nearly every Indian restaurant in Louisville and I can say they absolutely serve their name well.

I started with Tandoori Chicken, it was served piping hot, juicy and bursting with flavor but subtle enough that it was like every flavor and aromatic had its own opportunity to shine.

I was also given some of their masala sauce on the side. I’m not sure if it’s standard practice but it was amazing as well. I like Chicken Tikka Masala, but I rarely order it because I love to explore more traditional Indian and Himalayan flavors but I would absolutely order it.

Service was attentive, place was spotless, and if I wanted a drink, the bar was well stocked.

10/10 recommend
