A great little diner type of restaurant not far off of Interstate 69 in the small town of Elberfeld. They have some really good homemade options on their menu. They have an Indiana breaded tenderloin and more. The food was delicious. The service was great. The restaurant is kept very clean. It is easy to find using Google Maps with plenty of easy free parking.

Had a business trip up here and needed a place to work a bit then have lunch. The lady there was great and served me coffee for an hour or so before I ordered lunch. I had the fried German bologna sandwich and homemade chips and it was awesome. I visited the local butcher that made the bologna afterward.

We went on a Friday night. Service was kind of slow. Not the server’s fault. The fried shrimp was very good. The German potatoes and creamy slaw were also very good. My husband had the fried chicken and said there was no seasoning in the flour used for the crust. Overall we enjoyed it and will go back again.

The specials are truly special here. Tuesday’s special is usually fried chicken: done to perfection, with two sides and a drink for a very low price. This place handled my party of 12 with ease and everyone left full and happy. This inn is worth the side trip to Elberfeld to enjoy!

I had the country fried stake and man it was SOOO GOOD!! I don’t know if I have ever tried country fried stake. It may have been the BEST meal I have ever had really the stake let alone and that is really saying something!! A must try that is for sure!!

Had the fish lunch special on a friday, it was seasoned well and nice big portion with sweet potato fries. I didn’t like the creamy slaw much. First time to stop here, we got there right after they opened at noon. We sat about 10 minutes before waitress took our drink order and she didn’t give us menus. I figure she hasn’t done this before and probably hasn’t ate out much to know how to do it. Prices were reasonable and food was good.
