I had a great takeout experience with my order of brisket (unfortunately I started eating before remembering to take a photo), collared greens, chili, and ribs! The orders were carefully wrapped in foil and by friendly staff for my long drive back to NYC. The brisket was tender and great with their sauce. The ribs were meaty and flavorful. I would definitely consider stopping by again.

Best BBQ I’ve ever had. Would give it 120 out of 100 for the great taste and amazing staff. Generous portions, perfectly smoked flavor and texture. Drove from NYC just to visit the place twice and each time was excellent! Loved the brisket, ribs, sausages, collard greens, mac-cheese, and corn bread. Hoping to try all the items on the menu!

4 because we like the mac and cheese. We had take out, pulled pork, ugh so much fat, we must of got end piece. Brisket was dry and the ribs were ok really not what we expected. The manager was informative because I was trying food for a future party. I would like to try the other restaurant in newburg. Make sure if you are take out that u have food on plastic the grease gets all over! Seeps through paper bag.

I’ve definitely had better down South, but that doesn’t mean this place doesn’t deserve 5 stars. But again, we’re in NY lol. The Texas Traditional Sausage blew me away, for $7 that’s a steal of a price for that quality. As someone who is visiting the area, I’m not disappointed, good location and atmosphere.

Ordered a lot of food as we were in the mood for some classic American BBQ as it was 65° in early April. Honestly, the food was fine and the service was astoundingly terrible. Employees will come to your table with a literal blow torch and “crisp” up your meat and Mac and cheese. It doesn’t do anything so it’s just for show really. Pointless and weird. The lady at the register looked and spoke to us like she didn’t care that we were here or even wanted to work there.
The food however, after all this, was just fine. The highlights were the collard greens and pulled pork. Did I even mention they were out of brisket as well? Unfortunate. The ribs were also good. Coleslaw was nice and tangy, no mayo based. Cornbread was super moist and flavorful
Everything else was forgettable. Baked beans were mushy, Mac and cheese was okay.

Without a doubt, the absolute best BBQ I’ve had in the Northeast. Lunch specials are amazingly cheap and filling. I had the brisket sandwich and it was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. These guys definitely know what they are doing with their meats. The honey cornbread was by far the best cornbread I’ve ever had. It was incredibly moist and drizzled with honey. The mac n cheese was delicious. A very cheesy sauce and solid portion.
The service was excellent and the staff showed a great deal of happiness in serving all customers walking in. They were knowledgeable on all ingredients as well.
The seating was comfortable and clean. The aromas make you want to keep on eating! Great spot for food!

Tried their pulled pork sandwich. Quite honestly the worst I’ve ever had. Very dry on a burnt bun. The slaw was good. I won’t be back.

Called to place an order and the person who answered the phone was extremely rude for no reason. I don’t know what got her so angry. I’ll I said was simply “I would like to place an order to pick it up” and she got very hostile. I definitely won’t be going there and I plan to call the better business bureau. If you want to spend your hard earned money to a place that appreciates your business, this isn’t the place.

Bought the Brisket Sandwich and Collard greens with pork and Apple pie baked beans! Worst food I’ve ever had in my life! Didn’t eat the collards but the beans tasted like canned beans with apple slices. The brisket sandwich was small and was plain and dry! Over priced food and wasn’t worth it.

Some of the best BBQ we’ve had anywhere. When we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the owner, who was very friendly. He answered our questions, gave us free samples of the meats, and helped us order what would suit our tastes. Our family of 5 ordered different meals and shared, so we could all try a little of everything, including brisket, turkey, pulled pork, and wings. All were delicious. The side dishes were equally good. The portions were all very generous, the prices were very reasonable, and the service was fast. I wish we were staying in the area longer so we could eat here again. If you like BBQ, you’ll love this place.
